From the moment you open the door you will feel like you have arrived in paradise! Sleep with the sound of crashing waves. Enjoy morning coffee or evening cocktail while sitting on the balcony with 180 degree direct oceanfront view. This building is shaped like an L. One side is directly on the ocean and the other side faces the beach and road, with noise from cars and beach goers. We are facing the direct ocean view

Brand new, fully stocked kitchen with stainless dishwasher, double oven range, fridge, icemaker, microwave and disposal, granite counter tops, breakfast bar and everything a cook needs for meal prep. New vinyl wood floors in 2023. All furnishings are brand new! Queen size pillow top mattress on a carved teak bed,2 dressers, Twin sofa bed, flat screen Smart TV with HD cable and Apps for Netflix\Social Media built in, DSL Wi-fi, Luxury linens with plenty of pillows, outdoor dining and lounge furnishings, beach towels, iron, hair dryer, you name it.

Building features coin laundry, barbecue area ,Swimming pool, FREE assigned covered parking and elevator.

People love Makaha for its year round beautiful weather, as rain is very rare here. Visitors say this is the real Hawaii. The beaches are raw, natural and pristine. In a few minute's drive is Yokohama Beach where the nature is uncontaminated by manmade construction. Within 25 minutes in close by Kapolei you will find all the shopping you need to stock up, movies, more golf, water park, and resorts.

Waikele premium outlet mall is also about 25 minutes away. Ala Moana Mall, the largest outdoor shopping mecca in the country and Famous Waikiki are an hour away.

Renting a car is highly recommended as shops and restaurants are all too far to walk....but the beach is outside your door. It's great to take a day to drive the entire island perimeter and see the famous North Shore, Haleiwa and white sand beaches of Kailua. The hustle and bustle of Waikiki is about 45 minutes away.

Condo with a view

This condo was perfect for the two of us. The lanai looks right over the water, kitchen was well equipped, beach accessories to use and the view! Sunset every night from the lanai, just perfect. Heather was very nice and helpful when neededFor our long term stay we were so happy to be here.Highly recommend this place, but please leave availability for our next trip, lol

Awesome stay at the Makaha Shores

My wife and I loved our stay at Heathers condo. Everything was perfect. Most of our stay while at the condo was out on the lanai. The best views!! The bed was super comfortable too. Her place is great for a couple. We definitely hope to come back again.

Beautiful condo, beautiful view, beautiful Makaha Beach

Wonderful two month stay! What a view! Sunrises and sunsets. The beach is mostly for locals and surfers, you won't find many tourists here. Further north the road leads to more gorgeous, quiet beaches, and a trail leading to the northwest tip of Oahu. A car is pretty much necessary. The condo is very comfortable, with the ocean and beach view right in front of the balcony. Very nice staff and residents. Shopping is easy a few miles south. Also close to Ko Olina, a beautiful resort area with four lagoons and a luau. Thanks to the owner for sharing this amazing place.

Perfect location right on the beach

We loved staying here. We relaxed on our Lani and watched the surfers, whales, and sunsets. The room had everything we needed. Comfortable bed, kitchen was fully stocked and they included extras for the beach. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, quiet, and relaxing get away.

Beautiful stay at Makaha Shores

We spent 30 glorious days at Makaha Shores in Heather and Pau’s condo unit. Where to begin….the check-in process was seamless and Heathers unit provides absolutely everything you need for your stay. We had booked with Heather a couple of times previous but with Covid it just didn’t work out. We’re so thankful it did this time! We arrived to a clean and welcoming unit with breath taking views of the ocean, sunrise and sunsets. Upon opening my eyes in the morning without even lifting my head off of the pillow you could see the surfers and if my eyes happened to open early enough you could also catch the beautiful hues of the sunrise. I had no need to contact Heather while there as everything was quite perfect, but she was great with informing us of things going on around the building that may affect us. The grounds of the building are very clean and well maintained and the maintenance and management staff were very friendly. Mahalo Heather…until next time🤗

ワイキキだけがハワイではありません。ここマカハは華やかさは無く、ゆったり時間が流れる南の島。バルコニーは最高に居心地が良く、サンセットとサーフィンを見ながらワインと夕食を楽しめます。もちろん、自分達でクッキング。それもまた楽しみの一つです。今回は2回目の滞在で、自分達のセカンドホームのように感じました。

Amazing views and a perfect place for a long getaway

Stayed in heathers place for two months. The views from the studio were stunning. The place had everything you would need for a long stay. Not too far away from grocery stores or other restaurants, but you definitely need a car to get around. Great communication from Heather especially when I had an issue with the internet. Would recommend staying here!!!

An Amazing Beachfront Oasis!

This amazing rental provided a short-term option for my Aunty and Uncle who moved home to Hawaii. They loved watching the surfers each morning and throughout the day along with snorkel tour groups just sitting on their balcony. The owners were easy to reach with questions and provided quick replies as well. We will DEFINITELY recommend this lovely Makaha unit to friends and family. Many mahalos again!

"Get Out" - Hawaii

There were some unusual things happening during my stay. Someone was going in and out of the condo when I wasn't there. For example, a personal item of mine was taken from the condo. Not something expensive like my laptop that was sitting on the counter, but my beach goggles. Weird, right? Also, there were things being left there when I wasn't there. For example, someone's dirty socks were put in the drawer with my clean clothes. And, on one occasion when I was gone all day, upon my return, there was something in the toilet that I didn't leave there. Creepy. To me this was someone sending a clear message that I was not welcome. I am an African-American woman and I felt violated. Even though the owner stated nothing had ever happened like this before, I can't help to think that perhaps it was racially motivated. The owner was gracious and offered to change the locks, but I decided to leave instead. She did refund me for the days I didn't use. On the other hand, the property grounds were amazing! Clean and well maintained. The condo was pristine - beautifully decorated, well stocked with necessities plus chair, umbrellas, etc. for the beach. The location was about an hour from Honolulu, but it sits right on the water so you get to hear and see the ocean waves 24/7. Beautiful!

Beautiful place

I almost don’t want to write this review because this feels like a hidden gem! We spent 1 month in June 2021 in the unit. The unit has more than we needed, and a breathtaking view of the ocean. We had great nights of sleep listening to the waves and never felt hot even though it was summer with no AC. We loved sleeping with only the screen closed with the nice breeze coming in from the ocean. The full. Time residents there were very receptive of the visitors as long as you are respectful to their land which was nice to see following previous reviews. We loved staying in a local beach and away from the touristy activities in Waikiki. One piece of advice is you will definitely need a rental car here. We messed up our car rental and prices were crazy, there is a bus stop right outside on a good schedule but it takes a long time to get anywhere on the bus and you generally can’t get an Uber or Lyft there, lucky we got our situation fixed after a little while. As for the owners, Heather was always great to work with and super fast communication. We loved staying in beautiful Makaha.

Exceptional Stay

My husband and I had a great time at this property for a month. Location was great and we were very comfortable for the duration of our stay. The condo had everything we could have ever needed and more! Amazing communication from the time of booking through check out, and we had no issues at all! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in Makaha, and we hope to come back again soon!

Awesome ocean front studio!

The condo was very nice with a renovated kitchen and bathroom. The views are spectacular, right on the surf break. I had the best vacation and I was very sad to leave. The condo complex is very well maintained. I give this studio a 10!

Makaha Shores

Excellent ocean front condo. Heard and saw crashing waves all day long, also watched up to 50 surfers catching the waves. Very entertaining. Was a small studio, but was very well eguipped. The beach was excellent. It was on the upper west end of the island, so a rental vehicle is required. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

Unforgettable Stay

We really really enjoyed staying here for a month during Feb. 2020. This is the best place that we've ever stayed in the world. When we are at the lanai, we always can see surfing, sometimes whales, sometimes dolphins. Just sitting at the lanai makes us happy and excited. Of course we enjoyed breakfast and dinner while seeing surfing and beautiful sunset. Until this time we’ve used hotels for a long time. This was the first time for us to use a condominium. And we found a condo was better than a hotel. At first we worried about various things because there was no reception or no concierge. But Heather gave us all necessary information, and we found it was easy to use a condo. All the people we met near here were very kind. Makaha is an awesome place to stay for a long time. Thank you very much for sharing your place, Heather. We'd like to come back here again.

Heather ist eine einzigartige Gastgeberin. Nach meinem Unfall auf Hawaii, war sie zu jeder Zeit ansprechbar, hilfsbereit und großzügig. Wir können Heather und ihr Apartment 312 nur Jedem wärmstens empfehlen. Das hübsche, komfortable Apartment hat alles was man für einen entspannten Urlaub benötigt: ein Badezimmer mit Dusch-Badewanne und vielen Schubladen im Unterschrank. Ein Küchenbereich mit einem typisch amerikanischen Riesenherd und 2 Backöfen, Spülmaschine, Kaffeemaschine, Toastofen und großem Kühlschrank - dieser ist während unseres Urlaubs kaputt gegangen und wurde sofort durch ein Neugerät mit Eiswürfelbereiter ersetzt. Ansonsten sind alle notwendigen Utensilien wie Pfannen, Töpfe, Besteck, Geschirr usw. für die Zubereitung eigener Speisen vorhanden. Die man wahlweise an der schönen Küchentheke oder auf dem Balkon (Lanai) einnehmen kann. Das Bett ist bequem und hatte eine neue Matratze. Zusätzlich ist ein großzügiges Ausziehbett vorhanden, welches auch als Sofa nutzbar ist. Der Balkon (Lanai) ist mit einem Bar-Tisch und zwei Bar-Stühlen sowie einer kleinen Rattan-Liegelandschaft ausgestattet. Und dann dieser Blick… einfach unglaublich, sagenhaft! Man schaut direkt auf den Ozean, kann den ganzen Tag den Surfern zusehen, sieht Delphine und mit etwas Glück auch Wale in der Ferne!! Die gesamte Anlage ist überaus ordentlich gestaltet, sauber und wird durch Security bewacht. Zum Apartment gehört ein eigener, überdachter Parkplatz. Der Pool ist beheizt und groß genug, um dort auch sportlich einige Bahnen zu ziehen. Der gesamte Bereich ist Nichtraucher deklariert - zum Rauchen also ein paar Schritte nach links zur kleinen Mauer am Strand gehen. Am Strand gibt es nur wenige Touristen - Makaha Beach liegt ca. 50km westlich von Honolulu - überwiegend gestalten dort „Einheimische“ ihre Familienwochenenden mit Barbecue und Musik. Da dieses hübsche Apartment Oceanfront liegt wird man davon in keiner Weise gestört - die tolle Brandung ist allgegenwärtig. Und Preis/Leistungsmässig gibt es nach unseren Recherchen auf ganz Hawaii (alle Inseln - wir waren auf allen :-) nichts vergleichbares. Aloha
