This incredible ground-floor condo is the perfect place to call home for your Waikoloa vacation. You'll love grilling meals right on your lanai with the built-in grill while everyone can beat the heat in the A/C after a day in the sun. The shared amenities promise fun for the whole family with a waterfall is driven sand pool for your Keiki (kids), an open-air cardio gym, pool with an ocean view, and a lava rock hot tub.

If you can tear yourself away from this amazing home and complex, you'll find a great spot to stick your toes in the sand and enjoy happy hour, lunch, or dinner at Lava Lava less than a mile away. Shoppers and diners will be delighted by the King's Shop's and Queen's Marketplace featuring local and national shopping and dining experiences. Just a mile up the road, you can experience a swim with the dolphins with Dolphin Quest at the Hilton or head a few more miles north for dinner at the Fairmont at Brown's Beach House where they'll shine lights on the water at night to show off the manta rays and turtles.

Amazing location and complex! We loved our stay at Kolea! The location is perfect for walking to restaurants, beach access, groceries, shopping, etc. The condo was VERY clean and had all the amenities you needed. The lanai was great for dinners on the grille. Very quiet. The pool was perfect and never super crowded. Amazing stay and we will 100% be back. The ONLY thing I would say is that it is a tiny bit dated, but all the other positives way out weighed that! See you again, Kolea!

Location was great. Easy walk to the beach. Overall clean place but some concerns. We arrived and there were multiple roach traps in the kitchen and saw quite a few roaches. The toaster was used once and started smoking. The freezer was very finicky and if the door wasnt pushed hard to shut the ice would melt. Lastly the hot water in the master bath shower didnt get above luke warm. Just a lot of little things I would have assumed at the price point wouldnt be happening.

The perfect place to stay

Everything you want here. A very short walk to the beach and located near all the best beaches on the island. A beautiful clean home with all the amenities, along with a pool and hot tub in the complex. I would come back and stay here!

Perfect condo

This condo was absolutely perfect. We had everything we need and more. All the beach necessities we provided for us. The beach was less than a 5 minute walk and the surf was super calm the whole time. The Kings and Queens Marketplace are both a short walk away. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone who wants a relaxing vacation.

Spring Break Getaway

We stayed at Kolea Kai 16D with our two granddaughters on their “Turning 10 Trip”. It was perfect for our purpose. They loved their bedroom suite and hanging out on the lanai. The place had everything we wanted and much more.

As good as advertised (well better)!

It's rare when an on-line listing matches the reality but this one hit the mark. 1st floor 2BR unit in the well located and well maintained Kolea Kai condo development Sandwiched between the Big Hilton and Big Marriott Kolea has direct beach access and is easily walkable to all shopping and many restaurants (go to Lava Lava Beach Club many times!). We had a rental car for off premises trips (Volcanoes Nat'l Park, Hilo Botanical Gardens, Hawi, Waimea, etc., etc., but you could get by without one for sure if you're just looking for a beach vacation! The unit itself was immaculate and had a well appointed kitchen and personal outdoor grilling station. Very comfortable King size bed in the master BR and 2 small twins in secondary make it ideal for a couple or family with younger childeren. We were here in late Jan/early Feb and saw many whales spouting and breaching right from the beach (so cool)! Go and enjoy!

Everything was great. The dishwasher is warn and needs replacing. The BBQ worked, unlike some of the neighbors. Beds and linens were nice - although thinner pillows would be appreciated. Clean throughout. Ample pots / pans / dishes for 4. Awsome!!

Wonderful location, great size, and well appointed

Our family of 4 (11 & 9 yo boys) enjoyed our stay. The condo layout is wonderful and is well appointed. Highly organized made it intuitive to make it ‘home’ for our trip. The location is perfect IMOP. North of the hustle of Kona, close enough for excursions, easy airport access, and minutes from Hapuna Beach State Recreation Area. At the time of our stay the condo included four beach chairs, three boogie boards, towels; cooler, two beach umbrellas, simple snorkel gear. The complex this condo is located in is top notch. Beautifully maintained grounds and easy access to the beach club and ocean. Our recommendation would be to stay here along the western Hawaii coast. Ensure you visit the Hapuna Beach State Recreation Area.

Peaceful and private

Easy condo to walk in and operate lifestyle. Couple of things that could be fixed..refrigerator door hinge makes noise when you open it, kitchen trash can pull out organizer doesn’t work well, laundry closet door is hard to open and close and a carrot peeler for local carrots would have been nice. Rest of the place was great!
