Just a place to lay our heads on the way home. We arrived after dark and left early morning. Arranged to have the unit left open for us. Beautiful view of the ⛰️ mountain the next morning.

A great cost-effective alternative to Ohakune if driving north for a day skiing. The rooms, although a little dated are clean and well equipped, and appear to be being gradually modernised over time. Staff are helpful and friendly.

Kitchen in our room was a mictowave and toaster on a office desk. No sink. No utensils other than knives, forks and spoons. Had to fill the kettle with a plastic jug as it wouldn't fit in the bathroom sink which was the only running water. Room was good other than that. We left something behing and the staff got it for us but when we called back in to pick it up at 4.30pm on a Friday it was closed with no staff on the premises. Got told they couldnt send it back, we could just call in next time we're going through. I would have been happy to pay for someone to send it back as i only go though waioru every few years but no. A bit dissapointed especially as i had organized to pick it up on Friday
