“The host/owner could not have been nicer! He was so friendly and hospitable. The property was to die for gorgeous! Take a short walk down to the Glowworm Grotto or wander along the sheep farm/property. This place was idyllic! We wish we could have stayed longer. ”

“We always felt that Mokino had a charm and a warm friendly family feel about it, comfortable, and a very Kiwi atmosphere about it. But you can’t always rely on nature to provide a clear evening to view Mt Taranaki or perfect weather to stay on the beach for hours but that is part of the pleasure of staying at Mokino. We will always want to return.”

“The location is convenient for me to join the cave activity nearby. The room is spacious but I did not get the room key. I was told the key was taken away by someone. It was strange! The flowers around are beautiful! A Jacuzzi pool is available for the guests although I did not have time to enjoy it.”

“We really enjoyed the repurposed train car, it was just right for 2. It also has a bedroom for 3 more, but given the 1 bath, our 2 were enough. Walking distance to both principal restaurants and market, as well as glow worm cave. Very pleased to have stayed here.”

“Front desk staff was very friendly, room was nice and we had a lot of options within walking distance. Would have loved a washing facility but staff did tell us of a laundromat just down the road.”

“We got back late from a adventure glow worm tour and we're exhausted. The staff made us pizza and brought it to our super comfortable room. That is seriously good karma points. Thank you ”

“The iron was full of rust and caravan needs some cleaning. Cleaners came about 10am while checkout time was at 11am. Please improve these things.”
