"Sehr schöne große Räumlichkeiten. Einfache Ausstattung. Vermisst habe die Möglichkeit ein Handtuch aufzuhängen, sowohl im Bad als auch im WC. Die Gegend ist einfach malerisch schön. Es gibt viele Burgen, die man in kurzer Zeit erreicht und aufsuchen kann. Als Anbindung hat man die Bahn, den Bus und das Schiff. Man erreicht relativ schnell die Großstädte wie Koblenz oder Wiesbaden."

"Wir haben für 4 Frauen und einem Hund gebucht. Ich sekbst konnte augrund gesundheitlicher Probleme nicht anreisen. Meine Freundinnen haben mir mitgeteilt, dass sie sich ins 18. Jahrhundert zurückversetzt gefühlt haben. Es hat ihnen sehr gut gefallen "

The hosts Eva and Wolfgang were very friendly and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Beautiful animals on the property. Truly one of the best places we’ve ever stayed."

"Wir waren zu 5 Personen angemeldet aber nur für 4 Personen Bettwäsche vorhanden. Eine Beschreibung der speziellen Elektrik, Fernseher, Pool war nicht vorhanden daher nur sehr eingeschränkt nutzbar. Terasse ohne Gartenmöbel nicht nutzbar. Des Weiteren war die Gartenpflege sehr mangelhaft (Wildwuchs/Unkraut). Vorhandener Grill unhygienisch. Pool Abdeckung total verdreckt. Sitz Mobiliar instabil, Verletzungsgefahr……Leider kann man vorhandene Bilder hier nicht einstellen da nicht Familienfreundlich....

Burghotel Auf Schönburg

10/10 Excellent

"We had a lovely 2 night stay at this property in the Standard Room, Bathtub (this little cottage-like room was beautiful and quaint and the bathtub was very, very nice). We had breakfast both days in the hotel and it was lovely with great options for food, great service, and beautiful scenery. On arrival, we were checked into our room quickly and they offered to bring our bags in. There were delicious snacks and drinks in the room for us to enjoy and great dining and drink options offered through the day (for purchase). We spent hours in the guest-only garden exploring and hiking, spent hours sitting out overlooking the picturesque Rhine River that runs through Oberwesel. On our second day, we had arranged for a wine tour through the hotel with a local vintner and would rate it 5 stars! We did not get dinner at the hotel but the views from the dining area are unmatched. Overall this was a fun and very unique lodging experience that I’d recommend for anyone to stay in! It did help that we had a car and drove ourselves from the Frankfurt Airport - very convenient to so so! We made a day of our travel out and stopped by Burg Eltz too to fit more in!"

"It was all PICTURE (amazing views) PERFECT (see attached photo of the view from our room). The restaurant…we had two dinners and three breakfasts. It was all divine. The wait staff was very professional. Overall an incredible property. If it is on your radar as a “maybe”, then you need to book it and make it a “definite”!"

"This is budget accommodation but gives you all the basics you need. Location is tricky, in an industrial area, so without car you may not want to stay here. Our own point of criticism is cleanliness. A real clean of the room seems to be too much to ask for, not sure how often the grubby carpet is being vacuumed, for example. Bring your flip flops then you are ok."

"The property is very nice. The breakfast included was wonderful. The town of Keidrich is about 5 minutes away and has so many wonderful restaurants. My only complaint would be the view. When we booked, the room says valley view but since our room was on a lower level it actually overlooks the driveway and the parking lot. All night long, you can hear cars driving up. I think if we had a higher level room it would have been more enjoyable. "
