“Great property for our opener fishing experience We look forward to next year”

“We had a river room that looked out on the grassy lawn and Walker river. We enjoyed watching the birds that were busy flying, fathering mud, etc at the river. Only one place in town to get breakfast since the bakery wasnt yet open for the season.”

“Old time hotel things are only like twelve units. Parked right in front of the room. The heaters were wall heaters. It was like a blast from the seventies, but I really enjoyed it as the properties and a beautiful part of the country. Made me almost feel like I was a kid again. Remembering my vacations with my parents. Help me enjoy my time with the special friend”

“Originally built in Bodie in 1880 and moved here in 1920 as the gold played out, makes this a wonderful historical hotel; especially for those who are visiting the Bodie Historical State Park, the nations most famous ghost town. ”

“Cute and compact, as expected. No barking dogs like last review, but was thankful we brought paper towels and did our shopping prior to arriving in Walker. Coffee shop nearby was great. Didn’t spend a lot of time at property besides sleeping and breakfast. Served as a home base for our sight seeing.”

“This place was perfect for our weekend getaway. Check in and check out was easy. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we could ever need.”

“When my wife and I stayed it appears that they were in the process of updating and renovating this entire motel. The interior of our room had already been updated with fresh paint, new fixtures, floors, bed, bed stands, flat screen tv and a remodeled bathroom. Now It didn't mention it in the listing but I believe that the bathroom floors were heated which was a pleasant surprise. The area is very lovely if you enjoy natural picturesque views, fishing and scenic drives as we do and we are……
