The Barnim Nature Park and the Schorfheide Biosphere Reserve are in the immediate vicinity of the vacation homes in the harbor village of Zerpenschleuse. The municipality of Zerpenschleuse is a tranquil place, characterized by Dutch-style skipper's houses that stretch along the Lange Trödel, a former part of the Finow Canal.
