The moment we stepped in the front door and saw the gorgeous view out into the mountains and the river flowing through the valley, not only were we blown away by the beauty but we felt so relaxed and comfortable. “This was by far the best VRBO rental we have experienced (and we have been renting through them for over 20 years). The house was clean, spacious and well equipped. Access to the trail along the Skagit river was straight forward. Shopping was nearby in Mt. Vernon.A minor issue was getting the address and entry code etc. from VRBO. However, once they put us in contact with the host communication was excellent. We find the VRBO app to be difficult to use so relaying the necessary info via……

“Beautiful historical hotel, the rooms were comfortable, the bed too and we liked the vintage style fridge. Because this is a historical building the walls are very thin and you can hear everything! I'd give it a higher rating but the thin walls were an annoyance. Also, no AC in the unit.”

“This is an incredibly charming home in the woods with tons of character. It felt like a tree house! There are five floors and it almost took us some time to remember where all the rooms were. There was plenty of space for us to all spread out and have our own little nooks and crannies. It is peaceful and serene and the host was lovely as well.
