"We knew this was the lowest priced hotel in DC, so our expectations were low. But we just needed a place to sleep. However, the front desk was ready for us. Very pleasant woman sang to us while checking us in. Everyone that worked the front desk was super nice! Our room was perfect. Full size bed, great closet & bathroom. Very clean. Our only concern was that housekeeping came in to make the bed and clean the room even though we didn't put the door hang out asking for it. We didn't want anyone in the room, but they came in any way. Check out was a breeze. Parking on the streets is free on the weekends. We walked to the White House, and several other destinations. It was a great surprise to have a great place to crash out and regroup!! Will definitely stay here when we come back!!"
"The stay at the hotel was great! There were a couple things at your location that I’ve never seen before like using the room keycard to access the elevator. The only minor issue that we had with the room would be the pillows. They’re very soft and offer little support but other than that, no complaints at all."
"Super friendly staff and excellent rooms !
I also really enjoyed a quick dip in the roof top pool between meetings
Will look to book again when I return to DC

"Super trendy hotel, beautifully decorated. The restaurant and downstairs bar are beyond great!
Staff very friendly. Perfectly located and VERY safe, walkable to all sights, the hotel sits directly across from the National Portrait Gallery, super beautiful view from most rooms! Definitely coming back.
Only one comment for improvement... They need hooks in the vanity area of the bathroom, no where to hand a vanity bag or anything else and a hook on the side of the inside of the closet, to hang a handbag or scarf. Additionally a shelf on top of the toilet, no where to put any of your haircare products or any extras except on top of the toilet.
But other than that "
"The staff is exceptionally accommodating. I was impressed with the lengths they went to in order to ensure that our stay was comfortable and that our needs were met. The room was clean and accessible. "
"This hotel is located in a very convenient area, right next to national mall and less than 5 minutes away from a metro station with multiple lines. The hotel room is clean, small but with everything you need. Citizen m is my go to choice when I go solo traveling."
