With a separate private entrance, this unit is perfect for a week working on the Hill or a couples retreat to one of our city’s best neighborhoods. My brother and I have always wanted to visit Washington, DC, and this rental was the perfect place to stay! The location is fantastic — just two blocks from the Metro, making it incredibly easy to get anywhere in the city. Trader Joe’s is also very close, which made it convenient to grab groceries for quick meals. Eastern Market is within walking distance as well, and we had the best breakfast of our trip there. The weekend farmers market was in full swing and so enjoyable to walk through.The rental itself was very clean and comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable, and my brother said the pull-out couch was quite comfortable too. The shower always had hot water on demand, which we really appreciated after long days of exploring.The only minor issue we encountered was with the washer and dryer. The washer door needed a little maneuvering to close properly, and the dryer unfortunately did not work. We reached out to Alex and John, and they were very responsive and apologetic. Air-drying our clothes worked just fine and didn’t take long.The neighborhood felt very clean and welcoming, and coming from rural Minnesota, we felt very safe the entire time. If we return to DC, we would definitely stay here again. 10/10 recommend!

The location has to be the main reason to stay here! The neighborhood is unique with architecture, gardens, and lifestyles. There are plenty of food and beverage options all within walking distance. If you plan to bike, this is a perfect spot-bike lanes are in abundance with monuments and such all within a 5-20 minute bike ride depending what part of town you're going to. Parking could be a challenge-I had good luck with a street spot right out front-and no ticket. The communication with Alex was swift and detailed. Ask anything and expect a prompt response.

The apartment is very welcoming and well stocked. It is two blocks from the Eastern Market metro station with great availability to all areas from the airport to Silver Springs including the entire Smithsonian complex with good restaurants. Alex is both flexible and kind. We would like to have met him.

Great location. Perfect for two people. All you need for a comfortable stay. If sensitive to foot noise beware, you will hear it from the family above. Steep steps to enter/exit as well; not a problem for us. Only complaint: need a full length mirror.

Cozy, but needs some repairs

The property was very cozy and worked out well for my son and I. However, I contacted the host about the porch light not working the 2nd day we were there and it was not fixed. Also, there were no blinds on the front door and when cleaning dishes we discovered a leak under the kitchen sink that I informed the host about. Overall we felt safe and it was a comfortable place to relax after sightseeing all day.

Cozy and Comfortable

We had a great stay! My family really enjoyed the home and our time in D.C. The location is convenient close to most attractions and easily accessible by local transportation. If you’re driving, just be prepared to figure out the parking situation. The neighborhood is quiet, and the home has most of what you need for a comfortable stay.The only downside was the washing machine, the door latch was broken, so we couldn’t use it. That was disappointing, especially after a 7-day trip, as we had to bring all our laundry back home. Overall, we still had a wonderful experience and would recommend the place!

Washington DC Tour

This place is located close to all the visitor attraction in Washington DC. It is a great place to stay when jumping off to the capital city and all the attractions in that area. DC has really good Metro Transit and a train stop is only two blocks from this place which makes it easy to jump and go.

The unit was in a perfect location for green tourists like us. Subway and public transit less than 2 blocks. Trader Joe's one block and plenty of food options close by. Alex the host is hands down the quickest and most responsive host I've ever delt with. We had a small issue and it was tesolved quickly.

Didn't feel like it had been cleaned hard in a while; Shower (moldy curtain and under mat), sheets, pillows, couch. Wobbly chairs need tightening. Couch needs a deep cleaning and is not a pullout, just a spot to lay sheets over the cushions. Clothes washing machine didn't work. Back door will not open, at all - back window small and high - so, only 1 fire exit. :(Such a nice area. Quiet. Trader Joes and train station within 2 blocks. Overall an adorable place to stay. Just needs some cleaning.

Eastern Market and Trader Joes were just around the corner, and bus routes were close. The checkin and checkout instructions were clear and the place was clean and matched the pictures.

Overall, this was a great place to stay. It's a nice space. The bed was comfortable and the heater worked great. The location was amazing, as it only took a 9-10 minute Uber ride to downtown and appeared to be a safe area. A few things I was not crazy about were the bad smell in the kitchen sink, and that the bed was located below a high traffic area in the mornings so I heard a small human running around, but earplugs fixed that. The front door locks were a little hard to turn. I found the lock box just fine to the left of the door a little ways at eye level. Also, it would have been helpful to have directions of where to leave the keys upon checkout.

Nice neighborhood!

This apartment is located in a fabulous neighborhood just two blocks from the metro. We enjoyed a playground 2 blocks away as well as shopping at Trader Joe’s. The neighborhood was nice and quiet with access to restaurants and shops not far away. It never took us more than 15 minutes to get to the National Mall. The apartment itself could use some updating and sprucing up, such as the dishwasher isn’t sitting properly in its space. The one major downside to this apartment was someone started stomping loudly upstairs every day around 6:45 AM. So, if you aren’t an early riser, I wouldn’t recommend this place. If you are an early riser, then I think it might be a perfect spot. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in DC!
