Perfect location - lovely flat
If you’re looking for a place with all the access and still some privacy/relaxation, this spot is perfect. We toured DC easily on foot and via the bike rentals. Both methods were super easy; the bikes were just faster and more fun (esp for our kids). The property manager was on top of every question we had. And their recommendations for breakfast spots and places to explore in the neighborhood were fabulous. I’d stay here again on my next visit!

Property was in a great neighborhood. Easy walk to union station. All amenities worked beautifully. Beds were comfortable and property was clean. Make sure you watch steps leading to property door, very easy to trip and fall due to poor lighting if arriving in the dark. Overall would highly recommend for friends and families.

Wonderful little apartment

Capital Hill GREAT location
This was a great place for four adults to use as a base to enjoy all of the DC highlights. Eric was a great communicator and very accommodating! Easy access to the Union Station Metro red line stop.

Great little apartment
This house was very clean and comfortable and easily within walking distance to a lot of the main attractions around Washington. The master bed was enormous(California king??) We had 2 teenage boys with us, 1 slept in the second bedroom and 1 on the couch with no complaints. There are also some good local bars and coffee shops within 3 blocks. If we decide to visit again in the future I would definitely consider staying here again

Great location!
The rental was perfect for our family of four. The neighborhood is vibrant and close to lots of things. Our only issue was the mosquitos. I think due to the time of year and being the lower apartment. The mosquitos would chase us in, no matter how quick we were getting in the door and then we would spend some time battling them. We all managed to acquire quite a few bites, but in the end we prevailed.

Fantastic Location and fit 6 adults!
Traveled to DC for daughters college graduation- and added extra days for fun in the city. This was a perfect place- Clean, Room for six of us (though I recommend four due to the one bathroom). Had plenty of questions, mostly regarding the area, for the host and they were always responsive and helpful. Location is in walking distance of Capital Hill and the surrounds. Only positive memories about this rental.

Great place!
Great place! Great location to walk to the DC fireworks. You can get to pretty much every tourist spot for a $12 uber. A few great restaurants are a close walk.

Location with a few minor issues
Entrance to property had strong odor of dog urine and over powering fragrance. Inside had a plug-in machine room refreshener, I’m very sensitive to fragrances and needed to air out room. The master bedroom TV remote did not work. The shower nozzle was broken. Shower floor very slippery without a mat and shower drain DIY patchwork. Coffee machine was left on by previous and burning pot upon arrival. Dust on kitchen appliance. Cobwebs on windows and rain damage on sills. Felt dirty. Pillows lumpy and uncomfortable. We were happy with price and close proximity to historic sights and great restaurants!! Parking was very convenient without additional cost. Firm well cushioned mattresses, great nite sleep. For two nights, it was practical for us. It was disappointing that very simple fixed were not taken care of to be VRBO-ready.

Charming lower apartment
This apartment was perfect for our site seeing needs. My husband and I stayed in the queen bedroom and our 3 boys (12-17) shared the King. There was a fold down sofa at the front of the apartment we could have used, but we enjoyed having this area for tv time after the kids went to bed. We parked on the street when we arrived and put the parking pass we printed on the dash. We didn’t move the car until it was time to head home. We walked everywhere , to the Smithsonian museums a couple of the days and walked to the metro a few times as well. The walk to the metro is pretty short. We shopped at trader joes and loved visiting the Eastern Market on the weekend. There is also a corner store market on the opposite side of Stanton park that is super easy to get to. The street is quiet and beautiful. I felt very safe. We enjoyed sitting on the front bench and sharing a glass of wine after a long day of site seeing.

Comfy Cute Apartment on the Hill
We had a lovely stay on the Hill at Eric's apartment. Eric is a great host, responded almost immediately to our questions. The apartment is very comfortable and close to Eastern Market, The Mall, restaurants and several supermarkets.

Wonderful stay
The property was exactly as listed and had everything we needed. We used the kitchen to cook our meals for breakfast and dinner. The walk to Union Station took us about 15 minutes and from there we could take the circulator bus or metro everywhere we needed to go. We highly recommend this property if you enjoy feeling like you are part of the community rather than in a far off hotel.

Charming Capitol Hill Stay
Such a lovely apartment! I used to live in the neighborhood and had not been back in over a decade, so was thrilled to see exciting changes to the area and some favorites still the same like Eastern Market food hall. The unit is cozy, tastefully decorated, and fully stocked with everything for a short or longer term stay. Comfortable beds and quick heating system if you need it. Responsive, friendly hosts. The location is fantastic, a short walk to many restaurants. This is a real taste of living in the area and I would be happy to return!

Great location, cozy unit, but water damage needs addressing needs addressing
There was confusion the moment we arrived that can easily be addressed. Only the address, not the unit, was listed on the check in page of VRBO. We took the red eye flight and pulled up at midnight in the rain and went right up the stairs and tried to get into the wrong apartment. Yikes! My family noticed a unit under the stairs, and I had to search elsewhere on VRBO app to find "under the stairs." An easy fix, add Unit B to the address. But once in, we were met with a beautiful, spacious unit with filtered water in the fridge. That was so appreciated!!! We all drank up and filled the pitcher. It was also wonderful to be able to wash our clothes after a flight. We all showered and crashed. The location to Capitol Hill and National Mall was fantastic, and we ubered everywhere because I'm disabled. We spent $45 a day on uber but capable walkers wouldn't need to uber as much. Nearly all facilities and museums offered wheelchairs, which allowed me to participate in the family adventure. Kitchen was perfect size for our needs. After a trip to trader Joes for our breakfast and prepackaged lunch & dinners, my son made scrambled eggs every morning, and we packed our lunches daily and ate dinner in to save on dining out. In the evening, the four of us watched movies (set in DC) , and we were comfy in the fold out couch and two big chairs. It was so great and rare to spend time with my teen boys. Each room could set the heat to the person's liking, which was a bonus. However the unit should not be given top scores for cleanliness since there is water damage, so much that a scent machine is plugged in to try and cover the smell. I'm allergic to mold and had multiple asthma attacks. Water damage can be seen on the ceiling in most rooms and should be addressed. But the first to be addressed and easiest is the drywall around the washer and dryer. Pull out the washer/dryer, remove rotting drywall, and replace with cement board or other mold resistant drywall. Replace the scent machine with air purifier in each room. Blue air is a good, affordable brand.

The neighborhood was great. The location to public transportation was perfect. You can tell somethings (finishings) were home diy projects during the rehab but I can’t hold that against the place. Knowing we have more still to do in the DC area I would have no problem booking this location again.

Quick DC and Wolf Trap trip
Fantastic property in lovely neighborhood. Location was ideal…we walked around the Capital and then took the Metro from the Eastern Market Metro on the Silver line to McLean for the shuttle to Wolf Trap. This apartment was clean w/ comfy beds…just lovely for our 3 generation family! No hesitation to return.

Great location for DC family vacation
Easy 2 mile walk or cheap Uber/cab ride to most of the iconic DC sites. Very nice and clean apartment with most things you would need to do simple cooking. Only advice I would give is to let them know at booking if you will need any parking at all, as you will need to down load the parking app and request a pass from them which may take 24 hours, and then find a place to print it to place in your vehicle. I think I may have misunderstood the original communication of “need for additional parking” which means any parking at all. But they were quick to answer any issue I had. Overall, Great place to stay!

Great Washington DC Rental
Great spot to stay in Washington DC. It is a short walk to Union Station where you can get on any public transportation you would like. The neighborhood is very quiet. We had 6 people so two people slept on the fold-out couch.

Great DC Apartment
Great garden apartment just a few blocks from the SC, Capital Building and many Museums. Communication with the owners was excellent. Very clean with the right amount of necessities. We really enjoyed the neighborhood and could easily walk to several food stores, coffee shops and restaurants. The apartment was great for our family. Thinking of renting it again next year!

The accommodation is in a great location. We had issues ataining the permit for the on street parking which was disappointing but it got resolved. The cleanliness of the accommodation was also disappointing but we were out mostly so it was purely a sleeping spot. Small things like the bed sheets for the fold out bed being clean would be nice. It grand in a great location.

Worked Great for Our Whole Family
The first thing I have to mention is the host, Eric. He was so responsive, like within minutes every time I messaged him, which was probably too often. :) The neighborhood and building are old, so you have to understand that, but it was a perfect location and stay for our large family (2 adults, 5 small children). It is an easy walk to the National Mall, which was a must for us. The home is updated, so it helps the older feel a little newer. We did not spend much time during the day there, due to our busy agenda, but we at breakfast there each morning and cooked there for 5 out of 6 nights. The pot/pans/utensils could use some updating, but I assume most guests won't prepare meals there as much as our large family did. The only critique would be that the shower walls get scrubbed a little better, but it was nothing extreme. Again, I need to mention, Eric, who was the utmost of a host and I feel if we had come across any issues, he would have done whatever possible to resolve them. We had a wonderful week in DC, and this location made that possible so that we had a safe and comfortable place to come back to each evening. Thank you again, Eric.

Amazing stay in Washington
We found this property to be exactly as described. It is clean, comfortable, and in a great location. We could walk to the Capitol and stores/restaurants but the bus stops were also convenient when we didn't feel like walking in the rain. Also a good place for just walking the neighborhood and my boys loved the park across the street. Communication with the owners was timely and helpful. Pots, pans, towels, linens, kitchen supplies were everything we needed. Beds are so comfortable! We enjoyed our trip to Washington and a good part of that is due to such a well kept place to rest. We would love to stay again when we return to the city.
