The place just felt Alaskan, and the food is fantastic. The rooms aren't fancy, but they're solid, and very clean and quiet. I recommend the 2nd floor for the view over lake Wasilla. I will be staying there again.

A very nice place to take the family when visiting Wasilla. Off season, and couldn't find anyone in the morning, but would gladly stay there again. Great view. Spacious room.

Small older lakefront property with excellent dining room and service. Dock allows for boat and float plane access. Water sport equipment available for rent. Excellent front desk staff. Clean comfortable room although no maid service during our stay, towels available upon request. About a 10-minute drive to Wasilla.

The room did not have a sofa bed, as we had reserved. However, the staff hustled up a solution, which was fine for our one-night stay. A wonderful view from the balcony.

The Mat-Su Resort is a great spot to explore the valley. Centrally located, rooms were of good size and comfortable amenities. The attached restaurant offered quality meal options, parking was easy, and the views were breathtaking! Kitchenette amenities could be improved to support those choosing to have food options in the room.

The lake view was outstanding! Food quality at Everett’s was also very good - rooms are quite large, LOVED the private balcony - and the mattress and bedding were among the most comfortable we’ve had in any resort stay EVER!! Overall, we would definitely stay here again winter or summer… walk to the restaurant from rooms was a tad precarious when iced over, and we had to buy a stopper for the bathtub — no other improvements we would suggest for this wonderfully affordable and lovely place!!

I'm not sure I'd call this place a "resort" but the room was comfortable and the view was pretty. The check-in was a little confusing because we didn't realize that the hostess counter in the restaurant was also the hotel check-in.

Great location overlooking the lake, very peaceful and beautiful view. A desk in the room would be good for working & teams/zoom meetings. Might be nicer to keep the big gate between the accommodations and the kitchen shut, trash gets a little stinky in the heat. Restaurant is fantastic, great food and great service. The live music was an unexpected and really nice touch. Could use a pale ale on the beer menu, but i made do lol. Enjoyed my stay - thanks!

Rough beginning but wonderful experience!!

We got there about 7:30pm and COULD not find where to check in or even to get help. Had to call the after hours number -and no answer. Called the facility director who helped me. Finally got our room. VERY clean and amazing views. Quiet and just had a great experience and plan on going back!!

Great Experience

Staff, including wait staff at the restaurant Everett's, was the nicest people I've ever interacted with. The room was very clean, nice, and vibrant. Only downside was the walls were a little thin; the room above us was occupied and their floor was squeaky and we could easily here every step they took. Luckily they weren't loud guests, just normal walking around, otherwise it would have been very disruptive.

We liked everything about this property, but I stay was flawed by a barking dog, supposedly belonging to the owner, that was tied up in a storage facility located right next to our room. After a couple of hours of this I called the desk and they removed the dog. But, who chains up a dog right next to your room? The restaurant is fantastic.
