Vang Vieng Wat Si Souman Hotels

"Everything! Better than expected for the price! Buffet breakfast was excellent, so was my spacious room overlooking the mountains. The staff was second to none and the rooftop bar was the best, especially at around 5.30pm when you have full view of the hot air balloons by the mountains and also above the hotel - that was really cool and inspired me to do a sunset hot air balloon excursion which was awesome. A little far from town (15 minute walk) but the hotel offers free shuttles to town/airport/bus/train stations. If ever I was in town, I would stay at this hotel again. "

"This is a lovely hotel; I can't imagine staying anywhere els in Vang Vieng. The setting is magical; rice fields suddenly open up with the mountains rising up beyond them. The bungalows are beautifully built and designed. Breakfast is brought to your private patio each morning. Service was very good."

"Sunrise is amazing. It feels like a upgraded boutique hotel. The staff is friendly, pleasant and accommodating. They made us feel welcome. The breakfast was plentiful and in variety and they have some of the tastiest, fresh fruit I’ve ever eaten. The hotel is clean and so are the rooms. The hotel is a about a 10 minute walk to the action, so it’s close but far at the same time which I loved. They are next to the Mad Monkey which can get loud, but it’s not bothersome and they stop playing their music at a certain time. The pool area looked amazing although we didn’t use it. We stayed in the Deluxe Double room with Mountain view, but it’s also pool view. My only criticisms are: 1. More hooks in the bathroom to hang the robes and towels. 2. Brighter lighting in the bathroom by the sink 3. Bigger floor towel or mat due to the water that drips on the floor. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay at Sunrise."

"I did not find thebrooms clean. There were armies of ants both in the bathroom and bedroom on the walls. We had asked them to spray the room and it still didn't make a difference. The only way to keep them at bay was to keep the room cold. The staff was very nice and helpful though, hence the 2 stars."

"Inthira Vang Vieng is a great base to experience Vang Vieng. The standout is the setting, with sweeping views over the river and dramatic limestone mountains. It’s easy to lose time watching the daily activity unfold, from longtail boats on the water to hot air balloons and paragliders drifting across the sky. The sunset views are particularly special. The hotel is well located, within easy walking distance of the night market, restaurants, and cafés, which makes evenings effortless. The room itself was very comfortable, with a good bed, effective air conditioning, and consistent hot water. Breakfast was a nice way to start the day and added to the overall ease of the stay. Overall, a comfortable, well-located hotel with memorable views and a relaxed atmosphere."
