“This is a great place to relax, but there is not a lot to do at the hotel or within walking distance. The plunge pools with villa are fantastic! Due to the tides in the area, you can only swim in the ocean at high tide, and the water has a lot of seaweed. The restaurant is amazing, we really enjoyed all of our meals and the staff were always friendly and helpful.”

“We had a lovely, relaxing stay at Kobe Suites. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. It is a well-designed hotel on the best stretch of beach in Watamu which is also part of the nature reserve. When we dined in, the food and drink was excellent and moderately priced. ”

“I visited The One during off season and covid mitigation rules, and due to this circunstances, I was surprisingly the only customer in the whole large resort. I got very warm welcome and free upgrade to a seafront apartment. Nothing major to complain other than the TV in the apartment did not work, neither did the wifi for some occasions. The resort location is remote from watamu bay and basic services but the hotel have good restaurant and other facilities. I managed to get a cheap uber from……

“Premessa: chiamo prima di arrivare in albergo considerando il gran caldo mi assicuro che la struttura ha l’aria condizionata, al mio arrivo proviamo svariate camere tutte abbastanza sporche e fatiscenti unica nota positiva aria condizionata. Una volta sistemate le valigie usciamo fuori dal residence per andare a cena al nostro rientro troviamo un ventilatore fuori la porta, chiedo al receptionist cosa significasse e lo stesso mi risponde che l’aria è rotta in tutta le stanze considerando che……

“I had booked a room at Mvuvi 5 months ago and was told when I arrived that they had overbooked. I was thrown into a random house in Watamu, dogs running through the room, the person in the next room being violently sick all night. The house wasn’t even on the map so I got very lost late at night trying to find it. Mvuvi must have known about the overbooking months ago, but only told me on my arrival. Non è una struttura nuova o moderna, ma è tenuto molto bene. Le stanze hanno tutte metrature molto generose, arredamento di buona qualità, con tanto spazio per ogni esigenza degli ospiti. “The property (houses on Easter Side) has big issue with the three-phase power input. Finally, we spent our night without electricity (two basic lamps were provided instead for the room and bathroom). The electric generator was not reliable - lights were blinking all the time. I didn`t want to charge my electric equipment when the generator was used (didn`t want risk damaging items). The breakfast was rather basic. The rest of the experience was OK. It was the only only one property we visited……
