Excellent stay

We stayed over the Christmas and New Year period and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were courteous and professional and both Franklyn (the property caretaker) and Patrick (the chef) were truly outstanding.

Peaceful and relaxing

We loved our stay at Baobab villas. From our arrival, Franklin was amazing. He showed us around our villa, discussed our upcoming plans and gave us information on how to get around. Ronald, our chef was also incredible. Very creative in cooking and accommodating for children. The villas were spacious and clean. Be aware the third bedroom is a separate entrance on the second level. Check out the upper level to view the stars! Wifi was consistent. The location is a short tuk tuk ride from town, but far enough for quiet after a fun day out.

Wish I was there now!

This place is really quite amazing. This was our first time to Watamu and we didn’t really know what to expect. The beaches here are so amazing and the people are wonderful. We did have a slight miscommunication right off the bat regarding dinner on arrival, but it was quickly remedied. Daniel was wonderful with answering questions about the house and it’s amenities. And once we realized that Franklin, the house manager, was really the one to go through for everything else, we hit our stride. I think it would be helpful to have more pictures of all the rooms and maybe a floor plan of the villa, so that people truly understand what they are getting. The bonus rooftop for watching sunsets was really great. But the third bedroom was not really usable for our family (three children 6 and under) because the stairs and access were outside, separate from the rest of the house. It is also helpful to know that the bedrooms have A/C, but the main room did not. Also, the pool is shared with three other villas, which was not a problem, but just nice to know ahead of time. We highly recommend paying extra for the staff. They cooked incredible meals and picked up the house while we were out and about. And it was so nice to not have to worry about cooking and cleaning up. Thank you for a wonderful vacation. We had such a great time that we will never forget!
