Was perfect for our family of 5 for a weekend getaway. Loved the hot tub and the house was cozy overall. Plenty of supper clubs in the area and Nordic Mountain was fun. Would love to visit in thr summer!
We loved everything about this property. The sunset views over the lake were gorgeous. The property was well stocked with everything we could possibly need. Even though we were right next to another house, it felt so private. Planning many future stays.
This was the perfect setting for our group of friends who have been best buddies for well over 50 years. We could relax and enjoy reminiscing without a care in the world. Lots of sunny windows with a view of the lake which was just beginning to thaw from its winter freeze. The cabin was both roomy and cozy.
Just a group of moms/ wives who needed a break. The new hot tub was so nice that we could all hang out in it together this time! The house is beautiful and the host is great! This was our 3rd time here and we WILL be back!
Property was as described, very clean and accommodating and had everything we needed. Rented a pontoon nearby which was a must, as the lake was super smooth and peaceful. THe VRBO owner did not really check in with us to see if we needed anything upon checkin, which would have been nice, but all went very well. We would consider returning to the same place or another one owned by the same people. Had a great time.

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Communication
Great lakehouse, terrible communication
We thoroughly enjoyed the beach, deck, hot tub, sauna, and the most glorious lake views. The house was great! Unfortunately we had very poor communication with the property's management team. They were unorganized, rude, and untimely. For this reason, I would not recommend this lakehouse. There are dozens of other options. Customer service and compassion matter!
This "cabin" had a lovely view of the lake!. We used the fireplace every night (would be nice to have some kindling or a small axe) the firewood was plentiful.
We love to cook-the kitchen was extremely well stocked with everything needed, plus service for 15. Bring your own spices/condiments-there was salt/pepper.
There isn't a dishwasher but there was just the 2 of us. For larger parties it could be an annoyance.
We rented the pontoon but the weather was too chilly so we cancelled. It would be a wonderful plus during nice weather. There were also kayaks, paddle boards, canoe, row boat and a swim raft, also a huge plus for active families or individuals. Life jackets were included. Lake water was clear; no weeds around dock
Hot tub/sauna were great, We couldn't locate a temp gauge for the sauna or a clock-that could be a safety issue.
Towels for hot tub/bathrooms were plentiful/ nice quality.
There are 2 bathrooms; one is on the lower level along with nice washer/dryer.
Be aware that the cabin is on different levels. There is one step from the dining area (where you enter) to the livingroom, another to the kitchen and one to one of the bedrooms. Both of us took a tumble when we first came in carrying supplies and didn't see this. An alert on the door would be helpful.
The beds were very comfortable, nice closet spaces.
There were several other cabins very close by.
Thank you for being "pet" friendly!!!
The location is fantastic, the owner/manager was very thoughtful, available and helpful. The property itself was just the perfect, peaceful respite escape. We enjoyed ourselves immensely, and will make it a semi-regular getaway.
Great location on the lake , the side of the house where the fire pit is would have been nice to have more lighting otherwise the place was fantastic for a girls weekend!
We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin with four adults and a dog. The cabin was very clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with just about every amenity you could think of (the Alexa mentioned wasn’t there, but we didn’t miss it at all).We really enjoyed using the hot tub and sauna - both were very relaxing, and the view from the hot tub on the deck was fantastic. There were plenty of towels and blankets available, which was much appreciated. We did get snow during our stay, and it would have been nice to have access to the garage for parking. We were also hoping to use the fireplace, but the cabin stayed very warm, so we didn’t end up needing it. The only small suggestion we’d have is to add a nightlight or two for nighttime trips around the cabin.Booking and check-out were both very easy, and the host was responsive and communicative throughout our stay. Overall, a great place that we would happily recommend.
A beautiful place to stay with family. Lots of amenities for water play. Kids had the time of their life. Connie was wonderful to work with and went the extra mile to bring us more outdoor chairs. There’s no dishwasher but we managed with paper plates. The exterior stairs and furniture need some paint and fire pit area could use some updating, but overall a great 5 days!
We had an early family thanksgiving dinner in this cozy house. Everything that we needed to serve our already prepared meal was provided. This house was fully stocked with supplies and extras of anything that was needed. We had a great time sitting in front of the fireplace on the extremely comfortable furniture. There is also a very large screen tv next to the fireplace where we watched a movie. The beds were very comfortable and the house was very clean. It feels like being in a treehouse in the lakeside bedroom which has a door directly into the upstairs full bath. That bathroom has another door that opens to the second sink and a door that opens across from the room with 3 bunkbeds. The other bathroom is in the basement so be aware that that bathroom has a steep staircase if you have any seniors in your party.
We had a small issue with coffee maker and after we reported it a new one and extra filters were brought to the door. We would definitelylove to stay here again.
Sitting out on the deck every morning enjoying coffee and every night having a cocktail and looking at the lake was the peacefulness that we all needed.
Only issue we had, you really need to put directions in the book on how to work the TV. It would also be nice if there was an additional TV in the room with the queen & bunkbeds
The home with the deck and hot tub over looking the lake made for an excellent stay. The lake view was beautiful. The home had everything you need for your stay plus more. The hot tub was a huge plus and the fire pit in the evening adds even more to the stay. It is clean and well cared for. Management is responsive. I would definitely stay again. It is set back in the woods and despite having other properties there, you feel you have your privacy. Wautoma itself has many segments of the ice age trail to hike and the town has everything you need. I highly recommend this stay.
