The bathroom had mold, the floors were filthy, the bed was very squeaky and uncomfortable. No WiFi, TV didn’t work, room was not cleaned or maintained. Did a late check out and they blocked the card from working to reenter the room. No iron or ironing board. When walking downstairs and outside there was a family smoking weed with their children present outside the door.

stayed at Essence Express in Wayne with my girlfriend the night before we were leaving for a trip, and unfortunately, it was a terrible experience. The room was dirty, and although the bed was made, the sheets were not clean. The room also smelled strongly of weed, and it felt like someone had just been in there smoking before we arrived. Overall, it was a very disappointing stay. The condition of the room was unacceptable, and it made us uncomfortable throughout the night. I would not return to this hotel and would not recommend it based on our experience.

The best way to explain this place is mediocre. It’s placed in a very awkward location first of all. My friend and I stayed for 2 nights and they never cleaned the room. I had to go ask for more towels and trash bags. Another thing that was weird were the floors in the room. They are slippery and kinda sticky. I don’t know what they put on them, but I had to put on my socks and shoes for traction. The shower has no water pressure but at least the room and bed were clean when we got there.
