Hi Cailin, these homeowners work hard to provide a five-star experience for all guests, so they were disappointed by your feedback. They would like to share the following: - We include a map in our listing so that guests can see the approximate location and distance to various attractions before booking. - Our housekeeper checked the blender and found that the bottom part simply needed to be tightened. It is no longer leaking. - We are not aware of any issues with the door latches but will investigate to see if those can be adjusted. - We apologize that a small portion of the stove is not working to full capacity. It was inspected after your stay, and we found it needs to be replaced, but the necessary parts are not currently available. We hope to have it repaired soon, but in the meantime, all other heating units are working, so this should not cause any issues when cooking. - Our housekeeper checked on the Roku and confirmed that the TV and remote are both working well. Recent guests have not had any problems with those either. - We have asked our housekeeper to ensure the area behind the couch is cleaned regularly. We try to check all of the dishes as well, but sometimes guests put those away dirty. - Laundry doors have been checked and adjusted. - We would have been happy to help with all of these concerns had we known about them while you were in residence. When we are made aware of anything needing attention, we do our best to make corrections. We are confident that future guests will find our home clean and comfortable!

Hi Mildred, the homeowners have asked us to share the following: - We sent you an information packet the day after you booked our property, which included the following details: Master Suite has a jacuzzi tub (no shower), toilet, and sink. There is a switch by the door that turns on the jacuzzi jets. The reason for the showerhead being removed from this bath is that some guests were not keeping the shower curtain inside of the tub and creating water problems on the floor and below. - We're sorry that you were still caught off guard; as is also mentioned, the other two bathrooms have showers, so this has never been a problem for guests before. - The bathroom window was intentionally left uncovered. There are no homes or neighbors in the area that could look into it, and we enjoy the open and expansive view that this window gives. - We stand by the accuracy of the listing and the photographs which depict our home. We provide detailed information to all guests and hope they take the time to read and understand the benefits our cabin offers. We also let guests know that if they have any questions, we welcome their calls.

We understand the homeowner was able to promptly assist with every concern you had once they were made aware. Since your stay, the hot tub has been replaced so future guests can fully enjoy this amenity. Additionally, the property has been inspected for any maintenance issues and we can confirm the cabin is in great condition. Our guest enjoy the deck with its rocking chairs, swing and eating area. It's one of our favorite areas too. The photographs of our home clearly show the spiral staircase. For some this adds to the charm but may not meet the needs of all. We encourage all potential guest to contact us with questions about the layout of the house before booking. We want all guest to be sure our home is adequate for their stay and our strong rental history, repeat guest and reviews have proven this to be the case. The master suite upstairs is one of the best for a home this size. Plenty of room to relax, watch TV, or read a book in the spacious sitting area. I was recently at the house with 5 family members and we experienced no problems with the hot water. Any hot water system can be overwhelmed if many things are going on in a short period of time: multiple bathrooms in use, dishwasher or washing machine in use would be the most common reason. Our rates clearly state that the $135 cleaning fee covers the house and hot tub cleaning. North Carolina law requires rental property to empty, clean, refill and adjust chemistry of a hot tub following every rental; even if the hot tub is not used. Our expenses for this that we pay each time are $75 to completely clean the house, do laundry and have it ready for the next guest. The draining, cleaning and refilling of the hot tub is $50. And $10 for the 400 gallons of water and chemistry needed to ready the hot tub for the next guest and be in compliance with state regulations.
