“This was such a cute and perfect cabin for our hiking trip. We loved every minute of our stay!”

“Very quiet and serene”

“The pictures don't do this property any justice. Upon walking in the front door, I was hit with how spacious the cabin is. It was just the two of us, so we didn't use the second bedroom or downstairs, but it could easily accommodate a large group. It was clean, well decorated, and incredibly inviting. The hot tub on the back deck overlooks the river making for a relaxing treat after hiking all day. And the neighbors are far enough away that it feels somewhat private. I can't think of……

“We stayed at this cabin while we skied over the weekend. The stone fireplace was epic, we loved using it along with the hot tub for apres ski. The kitchen was well equipped to cook meals. Beds were cozy. We had a wonderful time and also enjoyed the Seinfeld references scattered throughout. The host was very accommodating with a late checkout - much appreciated!”

“Enjoyed everything about our visit. Incredibly beautiful setting. Great privacy- yet not isolated. The cabin is extraordinary. So much character. Completely comfortable. Two converging creeks on the lot make this location unique. The gazebo, wrap around porch, and the second floor balcony provide perfect outdoor places from which to enjoy the surrounding beauty in comfort. The host was always helpful and available by text or phone. Being pet friendly made our visit even better. Looking forward……

“The location is ideal. We wanted to be close to Mt Hood for snowboarding and close to hiking and townie amenities nearby and it really fit the bill. It's a quiet location with neighbors close enough for comfort, while still providing privacy. We had a very enjoyable stay.”

“A very charming cabin with a neat family history. The house been decorated and renovated tastefully. It was perfect for a short getaway from Portland. My favorite things about the house... The upstairs bedroom and its view of the big cathedral window and the red lift chair. A rustic and small but a well equipped kitchen. I was able to cook every meal comfotably (we didnt eat out) and that is usually not possible in a rental. The layout of the main floor was perfect for my husband and our teenage……

“I will start by saying we stay in rental properties several times a year and this is by far the cleanest well taken care of property we have stayed it. It is clear the owners very much take extra care of their property and we are great full they shared with us for a couple nights. The sound of the river were amazing and the entire family enjoyed our stay. Thanks for being a great host.”

“Excellent, but just need some things fixed or replaced however. The bottom of the dishwasher is clogged thus the dishes do not come out clean. The hand held can opener and food processor do not work, need new table tennis paddles and darts Very comfortable, we had a great time there in spite of the rain.”

“The house is clean and comfortable. The location is good about 20min from Government Camp and 20min from Sandy. The hot tub on the deck is a major plus. Susan is a great host and is very responsive. Would recommend to others.”

“Cozy little cabin that's perfect for a couple or small group looking to hunker down during the wet months. We wanted a nice quiet cabin to spend a weekend reading and relaxing in front of a wood fire, and we got it! The cabin is rustic but comfortable, though if you're looking for privacy, probably best to look elsewhere. If the weather had been drier we'd have taken advantage of the lovely firepit outside and/or the riverside hangout area that's just a 50-yard walk from the back door. The……

“The epitome of a Christmas cabin. Quaint and quirky with all its different landing levels and window shapes. Just enough rustic charm with all modern amenities a bigger family hopes for. Great proximity to Skibowl and tubing and ton of pubs and cafes, enough wooded privacy to feel like your secluded in the woods. We hope to return again! Thank you for sharing your home with us.”

“Came in for only one night but had a great time in the area. Place is small but perfectly sized for 1 or 2 and tucked into a quiet side street off the main highway. Good local spots nearby and Mt Hood is maybe 15-20 min drive.”

“Once again we enjoyed staying here at Papa Bears cabin. It’s such a cute and cozy cabin. Even though it was chilly when we arrived, once we got the fire going in the fireplace, it got toasty warm. It seems like there was some updating to the kitchen since the last time we were there, and it was very nice to cook in.
