One of my favourite places in the world...and nope, I don't live there (yet!). On a road-trip around SE Tasmania, we made our way up to Mount Wellington. In the hour we were there, we had sun, clouds, sleet and rain - it was awesome. #roadtrip #Tasmania

A beautiful place to mountain bike and hike. Not the best signage though so make sure you take a phone with GPS on it and don’t take off too late as the cloud can come in quickly which makes it wet and dark. A lot of walks to choose from 30mins - full day.
The view is simply breath-taking, there are just so many places in Tassie that are amazingly beautiful!

Hotel is very new and clean. Location is convenient. Next to Woolworths and Wellington shopping street. Many restaurants for choice.

There is sufficient parking space under the apartment but you need skills to drive the vehicles out the gate. There are also free parking spaces on street so it’s not a problem to us. The bathroom is accessible to disabled, which is good, yet water easily spills out the shower area and wet the bath mat. Really love the balcony which has sunshine and wind to dry clothes after washing. There are washing machines and dryer in the apartment too.

The Female Factory highlights one of the things I love about Tasmania. They treasure their past and go to great lengths to preserve it, even when there isn´t much to see. The factor here had a wall surrounding it and a small building with a gift shop and presentation area. It was incredibly basic but you felt like you were part of something bigger. It´s not much to look at but I thought it was well worth visiting. It is one of the stops on the Red Decker bus in Hobart. #localgem
