“Our stay at this property was nothing short of AMAZING! The communication with the owner was top notch, check in was easy and somehow the interior was more stunning than the outside! Perfect for picture opportunities. The proximity to king street is amazing if you can manage to tear yourself away from this beautiful property. The kitchen and bathroom are incredibly clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable and couches were perfect to watch tv or read on. The decor was the cherry on top!”

“We enjoyed the quiet and remote features of this private Lansing oasis. Unfortunately while the gas fireplace wasn't working, we were able to run into town and buy wood for the wood burning stove. Definitely recommend for a winter getaway and know the gas fireplace will be repaired soon. Property manager was quick to respond and contact the appropriate maintenance staff. “Great home in a great location. Everything is in walking distance and if you love people watching you have the perfect view to do so from the cozy front porch. The fenced in backyard was great for my senior dog. The Wicked Chicken is right next door and the food and service was a 5 star experience. The Appalachian Distillery was a few easy blocks to walk. So much to do…. And do not forget the Creeper Trail is a step or two away.”

“A wonderful place to stay! Property was clean, stocked with the necessities, and the location was perfect: About 20-30min from downtown Boone, Blowing Rock, and plenty of hikes/overlooks on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The host was kind and communicative, and being right on the New River was amazing--each day, I was able to watch beavers, otters, deer, etc. all from the deck. Grateful I was able to stay here, and highly recommend if you're looking for a spot in Boone!”

“Small creek adjacent from the house. It was only 2 people for the 2 bedroom plus a corner of the livingroom for the singlebed. 5 people could sleep comfortably. Quaint backporch. Kitchen was well equipped for our bring our own meals: mainly frozen dinners and deli meats. Microwave was our heat source. Didnt use the electric stove. Nearby countystore was a delight to visit. Well stock food pantry. Didn't use the store's restaurant. Look great but, we are hikers who want to spend time in the……

“My wife, our adult son, and our cocker spaniel stayed here over a weekend. We had an event in Blowing Rock on Saturday and it was super convenient to get in town or to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The house was well stocked and had everything we needed. The Food Lion was minutes away, but we felt like we were in the mountains. It was a bit cold, but we used the outdoor grill and would have enjoyed sitting on the porch during warmer weather. Plenty of seating, a great kitchen table for board games……

“This is our second time staying at this garage apartment cabin. It’s consistently VERY clean and comfortable. It is perfect for our family of four. It’s very well appointed. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it had a Keurig, which we use at home. The location feels remote but is convenient to downtown West Jefferson.
