Great location for visiting Chartwell, Hever Castle and other NT properties. Able to park in rear car park each night. No air conditioning but Dyson fan in room. Also Sipsmith sloe gin in room and resident lounge. Excellent food at dinner but marred by noise from kitchen- we could hear staff shouting at each other. Breakfast variable-full English great but coconut French toast inedible and ham Benedict only had half a muffin.

Fabulous night’s stay. Refurbished rooms with coffee maker, complimentary gin and full selection of toiletries. Had evening meal in the restaurant, a really interesting menu and good sized portions. Included breakfast was fabulous, buffet and cooked. Lovely staff, particularly Lucy who was helpful, efficient and friendly.

Lodged with my wife for a night. Food was great, including breakfast. Has an old British charm, but it was incredibly small, the rooms, stairs well and hallways. The lodgings are above their pub in the town centre. Parking is behind the property with 4 EV charging bays.

Really charming inn in an old Tudor building. No elevator but the man at the desk helped carry or bags. We were in a king bed room up in the attic that was charming but with dropped beams that were quite short that actually had bad on them in some areas. Not for someone taller than a meter and a half or so. There's a small ante-room between the bedroom and the bathroom that also has beams and steps and is a bit daunting during the night if you have to get up. Mostly clean but it is understandably hard to keep all the wood on the beams dusted. Our only window was a little ground-level dormer and it was hot - no AC or ceiling fan. The Dyson fan helped, but I was glad it was in September and not during a heat wave. The pub downstairs is casual and charming.
