I booked a family room indicating it was for a family of four after attending a wedding downstairs. I’d also given the ages of my children which were 17 and 13. We were given a room with a double bed and a single bed. I offered to pay for a spare bed or mattress or even a seperate room once I had seen the room but no mattress or spare bed were available. Three of us slept on a double bed and to be honest it was the worst nights sleep ever

No sapphire - its a polished rock

This is no sapphire, its a polished rock. We first had to wait for the frontdesk to finish his cigarette before we could check in.There is so much incense that one person had an asthma attack from entering the lobby. The room I got was below par - no room to hang clothes and it was also doused in incense, which was impossible to air out. Very disappointed with this stay

Unfortunately, on this ocassion, I can't give a good review. 113, the room I was given, looked the worst I've seen in this hotel. The room was very small. In front of the bed there was the coffee table with just maybe 30 centimetres in between the table and the bed. The carpet looked really rough, with some holes in it. The door's frame looked chipped all over. The bed was not properly dressed for the stay: no mattress protector on the mattress, no topper either considering you could feel all the springs just by touching the bed. Under the bed sheet you could see something that looked like a single mattress protector on a double sized bed. Bed sheets were very rough at touch, not to mention of the duvet that was way smaller than the size of the bed and very thin. The headboard looked very dirty. Considering the stay was for just for a night, I did not make any noise about it, but overall I was dissapointed with the presentation of the room for this stay.

Disappointing

I needed a room at the last minute near my elderly father. I parked in the car park where I was told to go but was then told I’d need to come back later to move it (it was already bed time). The hotel looked clean and up market but sadly it was superficial. Whilst the bed was sumptuously comfortable, the desk was mdf and the drawer didn’t fit. The overhead shower didn’t work and the handheld one squirted everywhere. I couldn’t open the shower gel and the gentleman at the reception desk couldn’t either- and he tried v hard! The coffee maker was a kettle and instant coffee. There was literally no coffee machine/proper coffee anywhere. It was the same at breakfast- paper cups and sachets of instant. Every table cloth was dirty and dirty crockery on all but one of the unoccupied table. My baked beans were vaguely warm and when staff finally appeared and I said as much, he just said that the light ( on the warmer) was on and went away! There was the usual sign about towels and caring for the planet but water and toiletries were in plastic bottles and paper cups at breakfast. So great night’s sleep, disappointing shower and awful breakfast experience. Definitely not what the reviews said sadly. Although there was a sign up saying you could get a discount for a 5 star review so that might explain things. Definitely not worth the money.

I booked a night at the hotel as was attending a wedding and convenient to stay. The venue part for the wedding was stunning and was not an issue. The hotel itself is outdated - my single room had no storage for clothes and none of the power point sockets were charging up my appliances. My sister and cousins room had no locks on the doors. The beds were comfortable however. The complimentary breakfast was complimentary for a reason - it was terrible Sausages looked like out of a can and not what we expected, neither was the food warmed up. Then we saw one of the staff light the fire underneath it but the kids had already had toast by then. The waiter said the other waiter was supposed to have done it to warm up the food but that he’s ‘lazy’ Won’t be recommending or returning to this hotel who even had the audacity to ask us to write them a good review !

I checked in without any issues, although I thought it strange that photographic ID was requested and photocopied. Git tobthe room and initially we thought this is lovely. However, the tap in the bathroom was very stiff to turn on, with a firm hand it came on splashing whatever on me and was very noisy. The overhead mirror light did not work, no place to put toiletries. The bed was rock hard and the duvet cover had stains on it (changed by housekeeping the next day), i was in pain the morning having had a poor nights sleep, not only because of the bed but there needs to be some investment to prevent noise pollution from the busy road. There was also some internal noise, couldn't identify what this noise was. Breakfast was lacking, the beans and artificial sausages have a lot to be desired. Breakfast was limited. I was surprised that there was no hot drinks machine with a decent variety of hot beverages. Sachets of coffee and tea. On the day of checking out at 2 minutes to 11, I received a call from reception telling me that I need to check out at 11. I responded that I was aware, and was very annoyed, considering the nature of hotels should hospitality. When i got to reception I asked the guy at reception if it’s usual practice to call guests telling them to check out at 11. He claimed that someone was looking for their room and they thought that the room that I was in was there's. This I found to be highly improbable as check in as at 3pm. Hotel not recommend.
