Experience the magic of sleeping under the stars in the Sterrenhuisje, located on a unique heritage estate surrounded by nature! This glass cottage is situated on the beautifully restored historic “Beddermolen” mill estate, on the edge of the De Merode Landscape Park. In this “tiny house,” you’ll find complete peace and quiet and leave all the hustle and bustle behind for a while. Discover the evening magic of the starry sky and nature, while enjoying each other’s company and the comfort of a wonderfully soft bed.

Welcome to the smallest and coziest “Star Cottage” in Flanders, located on a unique heritage estate surrounded by nature!

Here, you can combine peace and quiet with nature and comfort under an open starry sky. This small wooden cottage with a glass roof has everything you need—but nothing more: lighting, heating, a fan, and of course, a wonderfully soft bed! It’s furnished in a minimalist and thoughtful way so that, when the weather is good, you can fully enjoy the green surroundings and, hopefully, a beautiful starry sky.

During the day, you can explore the nature of the De Merode area, a true paradise for hiking and biking enthusiasts.

In the evening, you can warm up around the campfire, and you’re invited to spend hours gazing at the vast landscape, the imposing surroundings of the Beddermolen, and, of course, the stars. The Sterrenhuisje teaches you in a playful way how to explore our awe-inspiring universe through all kinds of informational materials, star charts, and telescopes.

Here, time stands still, far away from the hustle and bustle and stress. Here, you can truly unwind, recharge your energy, and taste, see, and smell the grandeur of Mother Nature.

The Sterrenhuisje is located at the far end of the garden of the De Beddermolen heritage estate.

You’ll find a key box next to the barn in the courtyard.

Inside, you’ll find both the key to the Sterrenhuisje and the key to the stable
(the small room on the opposite side), which you’re welcome to use. The code will be sent to you personally in advance.

In the stable, you’ll find a toilet and a small sink to freshen up. Showering is not possible here.

In the barn, you’ll also find glasses, cutlery, plates, and cups that you’re welcome to use.

If it rains, you can also eat here in a quiet, covered area. Please note: there is no way to reheat food in the barn.

It’s best to cook on the outdoor BBQ provided for you at the Sterrenhuisje. Please exercise caution here, as the roofs
of the vacation home and the barn are thatched and therefore highly flammable.

We’ve already made up the bed in the Sterrenhuisje for you, so there’s no need to bring your own bedding. Relax and enjoy the surroundings and each other!
