The home is on an isolated peninsula directly on South Pond. The beach area is a nice place to just sit and relax. We absolutely loved that you have a mud room to enter into. “As a kid, I summered just a few doors down from the Brookline Cottages, and am pleased to report the property offers a wondrous vibe decades in the making. The screen doors, the cribbage board coffee table, the woodwork -- everything said "chill here." Big ups to Liz, my responsive host. The beach was steps away, with kayaks and other amenities at your fingertips. Plus, the "neighbors" -- mostly owners from what I could tell --were quite welcoming, to the point where one generous gent took me on……

“The owners, Carol and Denis, were just fabulous! So courteous and accommodating. They welcomed us in like we were family and not guests. The location was clean and quiet and warm in a cozy way. I loved the 24/7 access to coffee, tea, and hot cocoa, the gorgeous antiques, and the hominess. Even the house itself invited you in! And the breakfast? Fantastic!! So fresh and delicious and huge! I was stuffed every morning! The only issue was the parking was a bear trying to get in and out of safely.……
