Gwal-y-filiast from below The cromlech stands on a shelf of the valley which below it starts to slope abruptly. The boles and roots of the surrounding beech trees and nearby boulders are thickly covered with moss of a brilliant green which adds a quite magical effect.

Afon Taf below Gwal-y-filiast At the point at which the Afon Taf flows past Gwal-y-filiast, the river starts to flow with greater force and the sound of the rushing water is highly audible from the burial chamber. This change in the river's character may have dictated the tomb's location; other inland prehistoric sites are similarly placed.

St Cledwyn's church The parish church of Llanglydwen lies a little way to the west of the village, on elevated ground, a spot commanding a fine view over the valley of the Taf. A Victorian restoration of an early church.

Fabulous night away to celebrate a birthday. Would thoroughly recommend, wine tasting was fabulous. Beautiful accommodation, food and service were excellent. Will definitely be back

Stayed in apartment 5 ‘The Firs’, thoroughly happy with the amenities, space (it’s big!) and quiet location. Plenty of space to relax for the family and a dog. Good location to explore, Pembroke walkable and local beaches a short drive away. Would stay again for sure. Communications excellent
