Love The Shores

We always enjoy coming to the Traverse City area, and specifically, staying at The Shores. The condo was clean and conveniently located. It was pretty small, even for two people, but the bed was comfortable and we enjoyed our visit.

View of the Bay

We stayed here for a family reunion in the area. The location was terrific for our needs. Unfortunately, the deck area by the beach was closed for the season, but we still had the opportunity for a short nature walk along the bay. The bed was comfortable and the washer/dryer a plus.

Too much furniture, unstable futon

Remove 2nd TV, ?coffee? Table, standing closet. Move and stabilize Futon to opposite wall. Table and chairs too large for small room. Try a dropleaf table where Futon is now.

not what we expected

We sent this once already - the bathroom toilet seat was not tightened - weeds outside around a porch that was very messy clearly not swept- flimsy shower curtain - no counter space in bathroom-screen door very difficult to move - no grab bar in shower- coffeemaker didn't work - clock didn't work. overall very disappointed

Short walk to the water. Plenty of things to do in close proximity to the property… Great communication and recommendations prior to check… room came as advertised! Highly recommend

Nice efficiency condo

Nice property, beautiful view, clean and well stocked. This property was listed as wheelchair accessible, but it is not. Even though it's on the first floor, there are several steps to navigate. The unit itself is also too small for a wheelchair. If you don't need this accessibility, this is a great stay.

Downside

The location is good to the GLEF horse show grounds. The fact that the pool is closed, beach chairs are old and worn was a surprise. Also closed last year but I assumed because of COVID. But it should be part of the description as that was one reason I liked the location. Also could not get any housekeeping service. Had to beg for fresh sheets and towels. There’s a washer/dryer but I’m not interested in housework when I’m renting a rather expensive place.
