“The exterior photos and location are lovely, but I booked this stay to get a weekend breath after a death in the family and was devastated to arrive to an unfinished shack that had no running water, no insulation, cracks and holes in the walls with the roof patches falling in, and a wasp infestation! This is not the kind of stay that I would wish on my enemy. We froze all night, flight off spiders and yellow jackets returning to a missing nest, and were bothered by loose dogs that weren't listed……

“Needing a quick, close getaway, this place was the perfect escape. Even though the weather was a bit chilly, so we didn't get a chance to enjoy the hot tub, we still enjoyed a nice nature walk. The house was warm and inviting, and we really enjoyed the welcome cookies and the fresh eggs . Will definitely stay here again.”

“The place was absolutely amazing. We didn’t get to enjoy the amenities like the hot tub or the hiking just not enough time for us this visit. We were there for my son’s wedding and we were hardly at the house but we enjoyed coffee on the back patio with our family and just talked about everything and everyone agreed we will have to come back and just relax and enjoy the place. “Beautiful location for this comfortable and well-stocked rental. The kitchen had everything we needed, and there is a grill outside. The view is spectacular, especially the sunrise. The kids had fun playing in the water and kayaking in the canal. We had a fabulous time. The owner is very responsive. We brought firewood for the firepit and had S'Mores, of course. We plan on returning for a longer stay.”

“The primary bedroom, primary bathroom, and laundry room smelled like CAT URINE. The owner sent cleaners. I trusted they would deal with the smell. They did not. The owner sent cleaners again. Still smelled but they placed air fresheners around the house. When I tried to negotiate some sort of reimbursement, the host hung up on me. There were other areas that showed lack of cleanliness and lack of basic maintenance.”
