"The Maine Evergreen was an inspiring Hotel! We travel a lot and believe that is the first time we have used that adjective to convey how we felt about any of the places we have stayed, regardless of price. The room was quite nice. The attached restaurant and lounge was quite cozy and offered high-quality fare. The hotel itself is one giant art gallery with works from dozens of Maine artists on display & for sale. It's in a very convenient location as well. But it was the staff that made our stay most rewarding. We had a very trying trip made even more difficult with car issues and the extreme weather that weekend. But the entire staff eased our anxieties and even offered assistance over and above what we expected. We will certainly choose the Maine Evergreen whenever we are in the Augusta area and give it our highest possible recommendation!"

"We had an amazing stay at this house and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The location was incredibly convenient (only about 20 minutes from Sunday River) which made getting to and from the mountain quick. Seth was an outstanding host from start to finish. He was extremely responsive, easy to communicate with, and always willing to help with any questions we had, whether it was about the house or local recommendations. The house itself was perfect for our group of 10. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out comfortably while still having great common areas to hang out together. Overall, this was a fantastic place to stay, and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient spot near Sunday River. We’d happily stay here again! PS… We also recommend the Brick & Stone Tavern for dinner :) "

Perfect setup for an ice fishing weekend, but just as great for relaxing by the fire, cooking together, and unplugging from real life for a bit.Everything was clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully stocked. The host was responsive and easy to work with, which made the whole stay seamless. Waking up to the quiet lake and woods was a highlight.If you’re looking for a true Maine getaway with plenty of space for a group and a great balance of comfort and outdoors, this place delivers.
