Lovely Cabin

Very cute and comfortable cabin. Check in was easy and the neighborhood was quiet. Cabin was clean and had everything we needed for a weekend getaway!

Wonderful

The stay was great. The check in process was easy. The was clean and everything worked. Anything we needed was there. Having the deer hanging out every evening 15 feet from us was amazing. We can’t wait to stay again.

Pleasant Surprise

The house is a quiet little retreat! It’s relaxing with all the amenities of home. We loved the porch to just enjoy the early morning or the evening breeze.

Gorgeous house near river

The house is really cute and really clean! It’s perfect for our family of four. There is one room with a king bed and the second room has two twin beds. The house was clean and decorated nicely. Located in neighborhood but was quiet and quaint. We had deer outside by the back porch every morning/evening and even throughout the day. The beds are comfortable and everyone slept well. It’s a two minute drive to a parking area by the river. I had to message host regarding WiFi issue with password and they responded quickly and issue was resolved. We had no issues with WiFi connection throughout our stay.

Great Getaway

Great place to unwind and relax, house has everything you would need . It's very apparent the owners care about property and your stay.Having private access to the river is wonderful .We will be back again when it cools off.

River fun

The house was cozy and clean! We loved the river, private area for neighborhood only. The swimming was awesome and spots to also put your chair and relax. We also loved how close we were to the shops. We had to drive to all areas but still very close.

Refreshing

Last hooray with Nana before school starts back. Blanco river in this area is always refreshing with deep water access. The Vagabond, although not directly on river, was conveniently located and thoroughly stocked.

Weekend getaway

Perfect getaway for a celebratory anniversary. Quiet neighborhood. Scenic. Severe thunderstorm on our first night stay and power went out but came back up in about 20 minutes. Impressive l, better than our own home in turn around time when there’s power outages.

Blanco Vagabond Area Reunion

The house was the perfect pivot point for visiting with all our deep rooted friends in the Austin/ San Marcus/Wimberley areas. Beds & linens super nice! Deer are way too friendly! We had a fire in the evening. Great open floor plan. We will be back

Great place

The place is actually more comfy than the picture showed. Spacious, clean and quiet. I like the taste of host-art work, fabrics colors, lamps and so on- all creat a relaxing feel. 15 mins walk/3 mins drive to the river which only available to local residents. Great privacy to enjoy the summer. We will come back again.

Our fav spot!!

This is our favorite vacation spot and house. Back again and we stay here every chance we get. The deer got a whole bag of corn and extra munchies this time also. Always a wonderful time on the river and at the house chillIng and relaxing. My son said he’s only staying here and no where else. Thanks!

Perfect spot for Re-Energizing your life!

We loved the deer in the neighborhood, they would come right up to you and take fruit or vegetables right out of your hand! The house was clean the bed was comfortable and it was a peaceful quiet place to relax and unwind from the daily grind! The two river parks were wonderful especially the river road park, the water was clear and we just floated to nowhere!!!

Beautiful getaway

My husband and two sons and I had so much fun here! The house is nice had everything we needed. It was clean. Beds were comfortable. Porch was nice to sit out and relax and watch the deer. The water access points, you do need to drive to them but it is only a couple of minute drive and the water is so pretty. That is all my kids wanted to do, we didn’t really need to leave the neighborhood to do anything else. We really loved it here and would definitely come back!

Deer friendly

Nice clean house. We saw deer everyday. The owner left feed for the deer. The only issue I had with the rental was all the paperwork and agreements you had to send and resend because they said they never got.

Incredible Blanco River Access

The Blanco River is about as pristine as it gets, and what incredible access to the river that this house gives you. The river is a few blocks away, and it was a breeze to figure out how to access the house's access point that is gated (a few friendly neighbors were also there). The house itself was fun - it felt like you were in the woods. The deer were great - tons of them came up to the house. The house got the job done and was a great place to get to have the river access. If you ever want to get out of Austin and enjoy the Blanco River, this is a great way to do it.

Nice and relaxing

The property was very nice and well kept. Plenty of towels, linens, and nicely stocked kitchen. We needed a short, quiet getaway and this was perfect. Yes, there are bugs, it's the Hill Country, that is expected, especially at night and outside. This just comes with the territory. The bathroom does get quite a few little flying bugs at night for some reason, but we figured out that leaving the lights on at night solves the problem. Easy, and close access to the river park. Drove over and parked at the edge. All in all, it's a great place!

Long Weekend in Wimberley

Comfortable home, close to river and town. We did not use the River access, but we drove by the area and it is very close to the house, you could walk or drive, easier to drive if you have lots of stuff for a day at the River. House is as advertised, very nice open living/dining/kitchen area. Lots of windows give you great opportunities to deer watch. There are lots of them in this neighborhood. Beds are very comfortable. We did not cook in the kitchen, just made a few quick breakfasts. Smart TV in living room easy to use. Neighborhood was very quiet. Property Manager contacted us just prior to our arrival and was easy to communicate with and very responsive when we had a question upon arrival. The house has light colored carpet throughout, so we left our shoes in the entry because of all the rain this weekend, so not to make a big mess. We would definitely stay here again.

Awesome place for a getaway

The property was awesome. It is in a community but the feel is very “country living”. Didn’t have any issues with any neighbors at all. The property was beautiful and very well cleaned. It had everything we needed for the weekend. Best part was being able to have morning coffee on the porch and watch the deer. The property owners had a bag of corn for the deer that we put out in the morning and the deer come within feet of you. Brought back a lot of great childhood memories when I would feed deer with my grandpa. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone. The owner was great with communication, the town itself is awesome with all the shops, rivers, nature walks. Will be visiting again soon!!
