Things to note:
Check-In/Out: Check‑in begins at 4 p.m. and check‑out is at 11 a.m. The main doors are fitted with a keyless entry lock, and your personalized access code will be sent two days before arrival, making your settling‑in simple and unhurried. If you’re hoping for an early check‑in or a later check‑out, just reach out and we’ll gladly see if the timing works.
Country Life: Although we’re close to downtown Wimberley, our property is very much part of the beautiful Texas Hill Country. With that comes the quiet, the peace, and the wildlife we’re grateful to share this land with. Deer and wild turkeys wander through the meadow and near the house almost every day, and we enjoy watching them and treating them with respect, and we appreciate guests doing the same during their stay.
As with any natural setting, there are a few creatures we’d rather not run into — snakes, bugs, and other parts of God’s creation that simply come with country living. Just stay aware as you wander the property, especially if you have pets along with you.
We keep regular pest control in place, but with our natural setting — and the creek running nearby — mosquitoes do make an appearance. We do our best to keep them at bay, yet they’re simply part of life out here in the Hill Country. For your comfort, you’ll find cans of bug spray in the barn and on the screened porch of the main home.
Well & Septic System: All our water comes from a private well and goes through a three‑stage filtration system, so it’s perfectly safe for showering and for drinking straight from the tap. We also have two fully independent septic systems — one for the main house and one for the barn. Both are professionally maintained and regularly monitored, so everything should run smoothly throughout your stay.
Pet Friendly We’ve always had pets in our lives, and we know many of our guests feel the same, so we’re glad to welcome yours along for the stay. We allow up to two pets per reservation, with a $50 fee per pet. To help keep the home fresh and comfortable for everyone, we kindly ask that pets stay off the furniture and beds. Folks who travel with their animals are always so thoughtful, and we truly appreciate the care they show our home.
Internet & TV We provide Starlink internet for the property and Roku on every television, giving you fast, reliable service wherever you are on the grounds. You’re welcome to sign in to your own streaming accounts and enjoy your favorite shows and movies during your stay.
Housekeeping Our highest priority is to offer you a space that feels welcoming, comfortable, and well cared for throughout your stay. Thanks to our dedicated team, the home is thoughtfully prepared each week with attention to cleanliness and detail. We simply ask that you treat our homes with the same care and respect you would your own, helping us keep this special place enjoyable for every guest.
Events & Celebrations We’re so glad you’re considering a stay at our peaceful country home and barn here in the Hill Country. This is a lived‑in, well‑loved place meant for quiet escapes, family time, and meaningful moments — not a commercial event venue. We do allow our guests to host small, respectful gatherings, but they do need prior approval, and an additional fee may apply. Our hope is to help you host something special while preserving the calm, rural atmosphere that makes this place feel like home.
The main home, the barn, and all seven peaceful acres along Lone Man Creek are yours to enjoy.
I’m available anytime by message or text, and a trusted off‑site property manager is nearby in Wimberley for anything you might need along the way. Your privacy on the property remains uninterrupted throughout your stay.

This is more than just a rental—it’s your Hill Country gathering place where every moment counts. ** Important Update — Water Conservation ** Texas is in a severe drought, and we’re supplementing water for our tanks to keep everything running smoothly. We kindly ask for your mindfulness and care with water use during this challenging time. Your consideration truly helps us protect the land and maintain a comfortable stay for all guests.
We’re so glad you’re here and hope you feel at home during your stay. To help keep the retreat peaceful and well‑cared‑for, we kindly ask that you follow these simple guidelines:

The house and barn was perfect for our family get together! The barn was an amazing place to hang out and play games or just sit on the porch and enjoy the scenery. Everyone was very comfortable and there were plenty of places to spread out or come together as a large group. We made great family memories and will definitely go back!
This was a great property for our large group. We had family and friends meet us here to gather for our wedding and all the guest loved it! The barn was a huge hit with everyone and there were so many areas for people to have a quiet moment to themselves or a places to sit and have coffee and catch up.
This property was spectacular and fulfilled all of our needs and exceeded our expectations!!! The set up was perfect for a multi-family stay (5 families including a child and several teenagers/young adults). We are all hoping to get back again soon when it is cooler to enjoy the property grounds outside more (it was summer in Texas). Truly a great experience!!!
We all (13) had plenty of room in this spacious place. Enjoyed deer, turtles and even turkeys! The only down part: Mother Nature was not on our side and with the drought- the creek wasn’t running enough to be safe enough to get in. The kids were still able to fish which was a lot of fun. Still a very highly recommended place to enjoy.
This property was perfect for our Thanksgiving family reunion dinner. We had a gathering of 16 people for all over the U.S. and the house and barn easily fit all of us. Both were well equipped, clean and comfortable. The Barn has a lot of room and was a great space to enjoy our dinners, play games and just hang out.
Easy to find, plenty of parking and it's short drive into Kyle or Wimberly. Host was quick to respond to any questions.
Highly recommend this property for small events and family get togethers.
Loved that there is room for all the family. I took master and was fine but others said beds are not comfortable due to the topper. And road is gravel & rocks so a car does not navigate well to the property. Trucks worked great. Beautiful clean home and exactly as advertised. Definitely use mosquito repellent.
Lori was an amazing host. The house and property were amazing and very clean and updated. The barn provided a great place to end our evenings. Plenty of space for our 4 families. I highly recommend this house for large group. There wasn’t as much water as we would have liked, but there was enough for the kids to do some kayaking. Texas had a pretty bad drought. We would love to come back. One last note… the dirt road to the house has a pretty steep hill to climb up, SUV’s or trucks would be best. We did have a guest who drove their car and made it up/down just fine though.
Great property and awesome communication from owner. Kids fished all day in the pond and played on the tree swing. All amenities were very nice. The barn is amazing as well.
Clean, comfortable and peaceful. This property offers it all. Everything was clean and well supplied. Our group enjoyed shuffleboard, basketball, and relaxing in the creek. Plenty of space for a large group.
We had 3 families with young kids together at Lori’s house. Unfortunately 2 days of rain put a damper on our time around the creek. The barn and property were great for exploring and spreading out. Overall it was perfect for our large group with kids.
It was just a short drive to Wimberley.
This was the perfect set up for our large extended family attending a wedding in Dripping Springs. Separate bedrooms for everyone! The Barn was great for gathering as a group and upstairs bedroom very nice. Both the house and the barn were SUPER CLEAN, well appointed, comfortable beds, great host. Only a 12-15 minute drive to HEB in Wimberley for groceries and necessities.
Fantastic property and wonderful set up! Best girls trip ever!
Lori, your home was amazing. We all had the best time relaxing over the weekend and enjoying the property. The home was spectacular, the pictures do not do justice. We had a great layout and everyone was comfortable. So many places to lounge! Our private in house chef we hired was in awe of your kitchen!! So many ladies in our group are eager to book for their own family trips. Really stellar property and home!! Thanks for having us!
We had our large family stay with us at the house and it accommodated all of us comfortably. The road to the house was stunning with deer and a pretty creek running under a small bridge. The home and the barn was better than expected. It was perfect for a family of 16 and was more like a guest house with a full kitchen. Make sure if anyone staying in the barn to have the host turn on the HVAC that morning cuz it takes all day to get it comfortable and cool.
This house is tucked away in the countryside on a creek, and very nice. The rooms are bigger than they look in the pictures. The house is decorated very nicely and comfortable for everyone. There are multiple places to relax as a group, in the living room by the fire, in the lounge in front of the TV, on the porch or out back by the creek. The kitchen is the center of the house and a nice gathering place. The only drawback is that the rooms require the sharing of bathrooms, but not a big deal for our extended family. The bonus for this property is the barn. It is large, with its own kitchen and a great place for getting together as a group. The owner was very accommodating. I highly recommend this property!
If you are looking for a place for friends and family to just be together, cook, laugh, soak up some sun and play in the creek then you should rent this house now! IT literally has everything and you don't need to pack much. Lori has thought of everything. From firepit items like bug spray and roasting sticks and kayaks and toys for the creek as well as books, movies and games for kids and adults. You can travel light and have many hours of fun together! We enjoyed a get together with our team for the weekend and it was lovely. Can't wait to do it again.
Thanks so much Lori
BTW...the host is super responsive and there is an onsite manager to help if needed!
The home was beautifully decorated and clean upon arrival. We had enough space to spread out as a group of 16 people. Really enjoyed the barn area. The location was nice and we really enjoyed our stay!
