“Our stay was very relaxed, the property is in a nice location, nestled in the woods, with a nice amount of lawn in the front. We enjoyed the wildlife, and explored Luray caverns and some of the Shenandoah mountains. The cabin is very simple, but sufficient, and has essentials, although a cabinet somewhere would have been convenient. Thank you for making our great week possible, it was a blessing!”

“The pictures and description are 100% accurate, but being there in person to take in the peaceful surroundings and views of nature with the family was a great experience. The hostess was responsive from the moment we booked and provided all the info we needed to make it to this mountain top cabin on the VA/WV border. We drove up on a Friday and after getting out of DC traffic we were on our way to Almost Heaven cabin. When we’re about a mile or so from the cabin we saw a black bear crossing……

“Stayed here for a weekend for a mini honeymoon/wife’s birthday. The cabin had everything we needed and more. We stay at a lot of cabins around shenendoah valley and this one was definitely high on the list of quality. Very clean and cozy. We took a hike, enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub, grilled, and relaxed on the upper deck. All the appliances worked and shower was great. Our only issue was the bed was very noisy and sounded like it could use some attention or an upgrade, there was a good……

“We had an absolute amazing time at this cabin. Not only was it very clean but they used labels to help you find out which light switches turned on what and where things went so we could easily find/use whatever we needed in the cabin. There was only one dish towel but the other linens provided were fine. Only suggestion would be more dishtowels. The beds were comfortable, so was the couch! We loved our stay!”

“Quaint cottage with comfortable living space and bonus outdoor lounge chairs to enjoy an afternoon book. The property is within 30 mins of hiking trails in Shenandoah National Park. We really appreciated the ability to get to Main Street high end restaurants and an ice cream shop that had delicious flavor choices. We enjoyed ourselves and the owner was quick responding to questions. ”

“The tiny house is exactly as described. Its small, clean, cozy and comfortable. The location right on the river is fantastic. Being able to have a fire right by the water each night was such a plus. In better weather would be a great put in for canoeing, kataking. Very close many historic sights, unique shops, and outdoor activities. The hosts are very thoughtful, kind and responsive. We will be staying again!!”

“We came into town to see a show at Charles Town Casino. The location was perfect! We loved the view of the river. The home was very clean, comfortable and well appointed. We enjoyed a great dinner at Mi Dellagado and an excellent breakfast at the Mountain View Diner. We would definitely stay here again when we are in the area.”

“We really enjoyed the property. It was clean. Internet worked well. Washer and dryer was nice. Too cold to enjoy the hot tub for me. My suggestions are a new shower head, thank goodness I didn’t have to wash my hair. The flow is too spread out and not enough to efficiently rinse as you shower. Second is a cheaper Kcup machine would be nice. Traveling with ground coffee is not really ideal for a quick trip away. Third thing I suggest is two beach towels (minimum) for the use of the hot tub. “My husband and I stayed for a short weekend away from the city. This place is the perfect place to disconnect and surround yourself with nature and beautiful views. Only suggestion that I have for guests is to be sure you bring towels, cooking oil, extra paper towells, and coffee/tea of your choice. Otherwise, everything is provided!”
