Location, location, location
This property was perfect for our ski vacation with access directly to the slopes. The apartment was very quiet at night and had everything we needed. The outside patio would be so nice in warmer weather. Loved it.

Great location
This was the perfect spot for me and my husband for 3.5 days of skiing in Winter Park. We cooked most meals (we didn't have a car so brought groceries with us from Denver), enjoyed the proximity to the mountain, and Bob was great.

Great time!
We had a wonderful time. The location was perfect and we enjoyed being on the 1st floor near the pool. It was very quiet and close to the amenities. The garage parking is also an added bonus. Condo was cozy and had everything we needed and the patio was an added bonus. Great time!

Perfect gem of a studio in Winter Park
Bob's place is fantastic. Great location - perfect for a small family (we were 3). The condo has everything you would want and the location is unbeatable - parking under the building, easy access to the slopes, super close to the pool and hot tubs, a short walking distance to the little ski village. All the kitchen amenities you would need. Bob was incredibly responsive to all of our questions. We would definitely stay here again! Can't recommend more highly.

Nice Condo at Iron Horse
Studio condo was the perfect size for the two of us (husband & wife). Condo was clean and functional. Kitchen adequately stocked to cook meals. We liked that condo was on first floor of building C right off the elevator and next to the access to hot tubs. Building was pretty empty of guests during our stay, so noise was not an issue. Communication with owner was good too. And check-in was a breeze.

Bob was great with answering our questions once we arrived. This is our kind of resort for skiing and the on-site ski rental was awesome too. Parking inside under the property was a treat. Kids loved it very much.

Sloeside is wonderful!
Bob is an excellent host and we thank him for sharing his amazing property with us. Ironhorse is a great location for skiing Winter Park and this unit in particular is in the perfect spot within the complex. Everything about this property just worked for us. The unit is well-maintained and is accurately represented in the pictures. We loved being able to get to the pool right from the balcony. It's also very close to the main entrance, making getting luggage, groceries and shuttles all very easy. It's a short walk, through the complex to the ski hill. Having a gear locker right off the hill within the complex is super-convenient. Access to the Winter Park base area is via an easy, green trail and within a minute of hitting the slopes you can be at the Gondola. It's also very easy to get back to Ironhorse from nearly everywhere in the resort. Better yet, it's very easy to identify where you need to stop on the run (it's not always easy to find your way home at some resorts). Our only caution is that your family needs to be able to ski a fairly lengthy and steep blue run if you want to ski back to the condo. Our 11-year-old had no problem with this, but if you have in-experienced skiers, this might be an issue. It should not be a show stopper for you by any means though as you can just take greens back to the base area and catch a shuttle from there. If we ever make it back to Winter Park, Bob this would be our first choice for lodging. Thanks for a wonderful week!

Amazing little mountain place
This rental is amazing! We fell in love with it. Very highly recommend to anyone for a skiing or mountain getaway. This rental has all you need - perfect amount of space, great amenities, and a super comfortable bed. The decor is adorable and cozy and the condo is in the ideal location. Right around the corner from the hot tub and pool, and a less than a minute walk (all indoors) to get to the ski area and lockers. We would definitely stay again!

This place was smaller then I expected but that didn’t really matter. The ski in and ski out was wonderful. The owner was very responsive when we needed anything. The only downfall, in my opinion was the bed. For me it was way to hard. But over all a great stay!

Great place to stay. Very nice, small unit. Owner was very clear on instructions. Easy ski in and out with ski lockers. We had 4 adults in our party and that was a little too many since it is a studio.

Winter park ski getaway
The location of this studio is very close to the mountain! Truly is ski in! It’s short shuttle ride to the base or about a 10 min walk which was so convenient. There’s an on-site ski shop where we got overnight tunes with a discount for staying at the resort. The bathroom and kitchen of this condo need updated, the Murphy bed has a temperpedic topper but after a day of skiing was very hard to get comfortable. The “ski-locker” is a large room with a code for the door that didn’t seem so secure so we didn’t use it. Overall great location with a few things that need updating!

Great place for ski in/ ski out!
We have previously stayed at the Vintage Hotel, but wanted to try something different. The ski in/ ski-out for this trip was amazing!! The studio apartment was small, but it met our needs. I think it would have been really tight for four adults. Bob made it very easy with the check in info and getting into the garage and the condo was easy. The code was long, but it was nice not to have to worry about a key. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was great for eating breakfast and taking a break for lunch while skiing. There was plenty of towels. The condo is right next to the exercise room and hot tub. You take Mary Jane Trail down to the Corridor to get to the Resort. Mary Jane is a blue, so may not be ideal if you have little kids as you ski Mary Jane Trails for the ski in/ ski out access back to the condo. But for us, it was so great! To access the lifts, you put your skis on and then head to Winter Park Basin to get on the Gondola. We rented skis at Ski Depot and then kept the skis in the ski locker up on the 5th floor overnight. The condo is the farthest from the ski access, but it wasn't bad at all. The walk is all inside, and way better than walking through the village on concrete! The only issue we had in the room was the shower bath wasn't draining. I emailed Bob right away and he had a plumber scheduled the next day for a two hour window. As far as we could tell, they didn't come as we continued to have the problem, but don’t think it was the owner and it was bad weather that day. The condo itself was great. The thing that was lacking the most was the management of overall resort. The hot tub was broke one evening and the signage for the problem was rather poor. The trash closest is located right across from the room, but it is locked with a huge sign that says you have to take the trash to the parking garage. The overall management of the place was lacking and you could tell. I would highly recommend this unit. One evening we drove into Winter Park to eat, and then next, we just walked to Winter Park Village to eat. The walk wasn’t bad at all. We would definitely stay here again! It was super great to rent your skis there, not have to drive to the resort and ski in/ ski out was great for starting your day, lunch and ending your day. Overall, the condo was very well kept and met your needs.

Needs Maintenance.
Arrived and the only source of heat for the unit, the gas fireplace did not work and it was quite cold. We were able to contact the owners who were not very helpful and told us" it takes a gas fireplace a long time to start" REALLY. They did send over their daughter to verify that the fireplace did in Fact not work as they seemed to think we were lying about this. My husband fortunately was able to take apart the thermostat and reignite the fire, but the blower is out so will probably keep malfunctioning- the owners admitted they were aware it did not work and told us we could just use the ceiling fan. It was extremely noisy, was not installed or balanced correctly, and had at least 1 inch of grime and dust on the fan blades, obviously has never been cleaned so that was not really an option. We also informed them that the ceiling light did not work, and they again acknowledged that it had never worked but they did not fix it. Place was not overly clean. The location next to the slopes is very convenient for skiing in and out, which we enjoyed, However, this unit is on the first floor next to the elevator and next to access to the pool and gym so very noisy. The view is of a giant wall a few feet away so it has very little natural light . Ski area is great though so overall had fun but will rent a different unit next time.

All Iron Horse Studio Condos use the same type fireplace and don’t use a blower as it heats up the unit very well. Great unit!
We stayed in this unit to go skiing at Winter Park/Mary Jane. This location was perfect. This unit was great, it is a small studio as it is described, but it is well taken care of. It was very clean and had lots of nice amenities. It was great to be so close to the pool and exercise room. We would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable studio!
If you’re looking for a small place, close to the slopes, this is it! I have always stayed in the central village, but not anymore! The rates here were much more affordable, and the slopes are just a couple of hallways away. The studio had everything we needed, except a spatula :( the television is huge, not the typical tiny condo tv. The floor plan has plenty of room, even with the beds down. The Murphy bed is a comfortable memory foam mattress. I was really excited to find out that the parking was free! The small garage was full when we arrived, and it is definitely not built for pick up trucks or large SUVs. I didn’t mind though, we unloaded our stuff and parked outside. The village is a short walk away for shopping and dining. This condo is definitely a much better value than staying at the other properties closer to the base!

Nice place.
Everyone will have different opinions on what is the best location for a unit in Iron Horse. Although not on the slopeside with slopeside view...this unit has convenience built in. It is THE closest unit to the lobby, hot tub, gym, restaurant, and parking garage. The garbage chute is literally across the hall. The elevator is about 20 feet from the front door. If you are paying attention, you realize this is also the farthest unit from the ski bridge. But again...the elevator is close, and it is a pretty walk going through the walkway between the buildings. I found the convenience to all of the above much more important. Especially hauling gear and groceries back and forth from the garage. The furniture was nice. (I have been in Iron Horse units where the furniture should have been replaced years prior). Good unit.

Clean, comfortable, cozy accommodations!
My husband and I enjoyed a truly lovely time here! The space is a studio, but felt larger than that because of the little dining area and the full kitchen. We cooked several meals there and were very pleased with the kitchen appliances available. Watching a movie on that huge screen was pretty fun too! The hottubs were awesome and we saw kids loving the pool. People were also using the well stocked fitness area (not us, skiiing was enough for us!). What a treat to have Ski Depot rentals right out the door and the ability to literally ski out the door and ski home was a fabulous treat! Winter Park is a wonderful place to go with all of the free shuttles (once you figure out the schedule!!) The weather was superb! When I had questions, Bob answered very promptly. Thank you for a great vacation!

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was clean, comfortable and had a well equipped kitchen. We only ate out once during our 5 day stay because we had everything we needed to prepare meals. The Murphy bed would have to be the most comfortable Murphy bed I have ever slept in too. The owners of the condo were excellent. If we had questions before or during our stay they emailed back straight away. The staff in the building were also very helpful. We would definitely stay there again and preferably in this condo.

Typical for this resort
I've always said "I can sleep anywhere" for two days. Well this was a true test. There's not much to say here this unit can't be more than 500 sqft . Maybe less. For the price, which we paid 3x what the average is for that unit somehow. I think that home away is to blame for that. Prices skyrocketed after I had researched and saved properties and came back to book all the prices were higher and we were practically the only people in the entire resort. The amenities code didn't work the entire trip so we can to "hang around" to get in. This might be due to the owners not having ith is unit managed by the resort which I understand, but it puts you at a disadvantage as a guest. Owners were very nice. My biggest issue is with the couch bed. Good lord it's aweful. I'm giving it a 3 and that's generous considering all of the above.

Great Location!
The place was exactly as advertised. Easy access from the parking garage on the first floor which also is very close to the ski shop for rentals. The outside deck overlooking the hot tubs and pool is a bonus. Ski in and out was wonderful as we never rode a bus. Bob was great and made sure we had everything we needed. The ski locker code had changed and did not work so we just gave him a quick call and he provided the new code on the spot giving us access to the ski locker. Customer Service 110%. Thank you!
