"Like stepping into the past! I thoroughly enjoyed staying in this classic 1920s lodge from the moment I walked through the inviting lobby filled with leather sofas and a roaring fire, with 1940s swing music playing. The location is perfect -- I had a beautiful view of the lake, and you can easily walk to trails. I had a big, beautiful porcelain tub in the bathroom, which was great for a long soak in the tub. I suppose not great for people who like showers, so ask about that when you book your room. I had dinner in the restaurant, and while the food wasn't anything remarkable, the server was very nice and the view of the sunset over the lake couldn't be beat. I guess my one complaint is that the walls are fairly thin, so I could hear the people in the next room talking. Thankfully, they went to bed fairly early."

"I love the location of the cabin – near all great hiking spots, as well as close to family I was visiting. The Lamberts were great with providing an incredible amount of information prior to even our arrival regarding the surrounding area and hikes, including directions on how to get to various points of the lake. Understand when you rent this house, you cannot walk to the lake. You will need to drive. We were not there for the lake, so this was not a concern for us. The cabin was cozy and has everything that you need- well stocked in every way imaginable. My only negative comment would be the beds, which were quite soft. But that is just me, I like a firm bed for a bad neck. The first two nights I had terrible sleep, but I blame only myself for not having asked the hosts about the beds before booking. My significant other had no problem with a soft bed. We didn’t spend much time in the cabin as we were always on the go, but it was nice to see plenty of board games available for family entertainment. The area itself is very quiet, which we loved. We had a lovely time!"

"The cabin was perfectly cozy for the two of us. We loved the view of the lake and the quiet neighborhood. Tim and Sandy, the hosts, were very friendly and helpful with all of the checkin info, and even left us a delicious bottle of red wine. :) We didn't use the hot tub or sauna, as we just enjoyed snuggling up on the large couch and relaxing. The kitchen is stocked with plenty of dishes and spices for whatever your needs may be. The loft bedroom has a beautiful view of the trees by the lake, making it difficult to get out of bed. :) We would love to come back again in the future!"
