"The restaurant closest to the facility closes early (no orders after 8pm). The other restaurant requires reservations. The facility has a kitchen. The facility main building is set up for backpackers. Some rooms do not have a private bathroom. Although not modern or comfortable, it is good for this level of service. The facility also have many small chalets. "

"The lovely, friendly, man at the desk was very welcoming, and offered great advice on what was in the area to visit, etc, i.e. attractions and eateries. For our one night stay, the unit was very clean, tidy, comfortable, and offered everything we needed. We will be back again and would love to stay longer. Thank you xxx"

"This was a great little place to stay for a few nights while working our way towards Auckland at the end of our holiday! Beautiful view, nice and casual breakfast, and our host was available and helpful. The venue was away from the highway, but close enough to get traffic noise, but that was not a big deal. We will be back! Thank you!"

"The staff was nice but the room was filthy. Beds were terrible. You roll in to the middle. We had bugs crawling on the sheets in the bedrooms. Had to dust cobwebs above the bed. Killed multiple bugs inside after all windows and doors were closed. Reached out to management. They did offer to switch to a different room but it was late and would have been more difficult to move. We covered up with our clothes and did not use any bedding. A lot disappointed as we were looking forward to our stay on my husbands bday. Would be super cute if it received someTLC and a deep clean. "

"It was slightly tight for 3 adults with lots of luggage. Atmosphere was nice and close to both Waitomo cave and the restaurants. "

" The management/staff are great. They offer a home cooked dinner, which is perfect after a day of hiking and exploring. Their breakfast was just right for me. Personally, I would have appreciated shampoo and conditioner in the room, and a quilt rather than a beds cover. "
