“First of all, you need to know that parking is not included in the price and is $45/day or you can park in a nearby parking garage at $2/hr. The rooms were pretty nice, but the bed was rather low to the ground, and you can hear folks above you when they walk around with heavy feet (especially youngsters running and jumping). The breakfast was particularly sub-standard as they pretty much ran out of everything (except powdered eggs, processed bacon product and bread/waffles) 45 minutes before……

“Great location and clean, comfortable, spacious suite. Saturday night traffic was audible but not terrible. Bed waas comfy, and nice to have plenty of outlets for charging etc. Only complaint is lack of working fan in bathroom.”

“We travel a lot for business and stay in hotels throughout the state of Maine and this hotel was by far one of the worst we have stayed at. The hotel staff was beyond unhelpful. We got into town an hour early and asked if we could check in early - they said they would charge us an additional $50 for early check in. I have never had a hotel do that. There amenities were lacking - no microwave in the room, the only tea they offered was plain lipton. Everything was the cheapest they could get away……

“We booked a two day stay at the Hampton Inn in beautiful Kittery, ME. We chose the Hampton Inn because of its name and reputation as a fine chain. We discovered that it was pet- friendly, which is fine, but also discovered that pets are not limited to certain floors ( i.e. ground floor or first floor only) but are allowed throughout the entire facility. To be blunt, our room smelled of wet dog. Not at first, but through the night, our half-carpeted, upholstered furniture room 409 became very……

“I was not impressed by this property for a few reasons: cleanliness wasn't great, the bedding was rough to the touch and frayed on the side, we only had 3 bath towels for 4 people in the room, and the air conditioning was not adequate for the hot weather. We could not adjust the temperature lower.”

“This is such a cute inn with all the amenities that are needed. It is wonderful to be able to just check yourself in without waiting in line. The space was clean, and tastefully decorated. The town, adorable. Parking isn't ideal for a large truck (we're driving through so, vehicle option wasn't negotiable for us) but we made it work! 5 stars, we can't wait to come back!”
