“This home is perfect for a family getaway. We had restricted electronics to just cellphones, so no gaming systems were allowed. So one floor open layout allowed us to interact while cooking meals and playing card games etc. We were very grateful the owner had provided gas for the grill. My grandsons cooked out and made smores while we went to the rehearsal dinner the first night. The three bathrooms made it easy for each woman to prepare for the wedding the next day. “Property was very nice, up to date, fine amenities. It would not be a good place for elders with mobility issues or toddlers- too many steps- split level, sunken living room”

“The house is located off Woodland valley stream and has a nice outdoor area to sit by the fire and enjoy nature. The home is over 100 years old and although it is updated it still retains its old world charm.”

“The lodge was amazing. The rooms were huge and very very spacious, including the bathrooms. Extremely clean and the mattress and pillows were the most comfortable ones I’ve ever come across in a hotel room. The staff was very friendly and warm. Unfortunately they were shutting down for business and I was apparently the last guest to checkout! I wish they’d keep it running. I’d go back to the catskills just to stay there!”

“Comments on both good and bad. There were icy spots on the walkway to our room which could have caused a serious fall. The bathroom was warm and appeared upgraded But the water pressure in the shower was very weak. Bath towels were small. My biggest complaint was the TV was OLD school. A small flat screen would have been nice. Lighting in the room was weak. The room was very warm. A very nice breakfast.”
