A "must stay" place.

*This new architecturally designed house is set in a peaceful,quiet location.
*Wake up to the sounds of the Tui, and Bellbirds singing.
*Large Deck surrounds three sides of the house.
*5 minute walk down to Long Bay. Enjoy the walk that goes from Long Bay to Tucks Bay and back, walking past kauris - (takes 40 mins)
*Boat ramps nearby, Long Bay, Coromandel boat ramp (short drive away.)
* Parking at site can take 6 metre boat and five or so cars.

Explore numerous walks nearby, The Kauri Track( 45 mins from this house to Umu's - resturant in middle of town). The Harray track.

Enjoy and explore the old Goldmining town of Coromandel. 5 mins drive away.

Take advantage of the many activities on offer in the region. Fishing, Kayaking, the famous driving creek railway.
Nine hole Golf Course nearby.
Special conditions:
I will return 100% of the money I have received, due to Covid if notified 24 hours before.
Linen does not include Swimming towels, Fishing towels.

  • A gorgeous sunset at our campsite in Long Bay. The sites were right on the bay and there were proper bathrooms with showers (and hot water). They also had a communal kitchen with stoves & a fridge but you had to bring your own pots/pans/plates. They also had couches and a big screen TV (glamping!). This campground cost $15NZD/person/night. #beach

Great host, gorgeous house with beautiful views. Close to Coromandel town. The only thing I would mention so people know is that it gets very hot late arvo and night and you have to shut the doors early to keep the mosquitoes out. Lots of fans but no air con. Otherwise the perfect place. We fit our 6mtr boat up there but there is quite a slope to turn around. Would definitely stay again in the cooler months.

Enjoyed a fabulously relaxing week and didn’t want to leave. The house is spacious, modern and very comfortable with everything we needed and more. Breakfasted on one deck and dined on the other. Loved it!

Brilliant spot

Great house, positioned with views from all rooms. Two great decks on the living floor meaning there is always sun or shade with your view. Five minutes to Coromandel town for a spot of shopping or to pick up supplies. Long bay has the best fish and chips and you can hire kayaks and stand up paddle boards by the hour at really reasonable prices- the camp site owners are really friendly. The walks are well sign posted and well maintained. There are so many little bays to explore we loved our week in the Coromandel. Our only slight caution is road 309, we are from Northland so it didn’t bother us, but we didn’t realise most of the road is unsealed. We will be back

Perfect way to start our NZ vacation

Wonderful location, quiet and beautiful views. The host was really helpful and made our arrival and departure totally stress free. This is a large house that would accommodate lots of people - which made my wife and I seem lost at times. Great wrap around deck. The Coromandel area is outstanding if you like walking and simply getting away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Highly recommended

Great place to stay, awesome views. Beutiful house inside and out with great decks. The only downside was downstairs was very cold and couldnt find a medium as upstairs were very hot. Beds also quite firm in most rooms.

This property has amazing views of the Coromandel Harbour, Wyuna Bay, over to Omaru Bay, Turkey Island and Kik Bay. We loved staying here, the home is very comfortable, the facilities are great and the view from the bathtube and all bedrooms is stunning, especially on sunny days, which we had. Loved it, many thanks. We hope to stay again soon.

Wonderful Visit

The Skyhouse is a Must Visit! Beautiful home with everything you need. The decks were amazing for morning coffees and evening wines. We stayed here on our last few nights before heading home, easily couple hours drive back to Auckland. The local store had everything we needed to make our last few meals, we visited a local pub for appies. I would highly recommend the SkyHouse!

Breathtaking Views All Around

are happy with the cleanliness of the house. With a few extra minutes taken by the cleaners, it wouldn't need to be mentioned. Still, a very lovely home to enjoy.
