Breakfast is plentiful, good standard and choice.. Nicely located, close to town centre, shops, bars and restaurants etc.. "Wonderful hotel. One of the best I’ve stayed in, in Europe. Think I got an upgrade, stayed on 11th floor, room was massive with stand alone bath, and seperate shower. Mini bar, coffee machine, kettle, complimentary water, and apples in the hall. Only had breakfast one day as had to leave early on second morning, due to Storm Ingrid. But breakfast was great, buffet with huge selection of hot & cold items. Definitely a 5 star hotel"

"I was absolutely blown away by this hotel! I booked on Expedia and messaged the hotel directly, they were very responsive. I got an amazing, spacious room with great views of Bom Jesus de Monte. The rooms are spotless and the bedding is very comfortable. Breakfast was included, but it was extremely limited, so I stopped using it after day two. There’s no room service, but the restaurant attached to the hotel is lovely, with stunning views over Braga. The staff are very accommodating, and the spa area is clean and also offers beautiful views. All of this for quite an amazing price. I had very little expectation going in, but I was truly impressed! The only major downside was the air conditioning, despite setting it lower and lower (from 21°C down to 11°C), the room temperature stubbornly stayed at 25°C, which made it difficult to sleep."

"Only thing we regret is that we only started one night here as we on the way from Portugal to Spain! We couldn’t say enough about this historical hotel and can’t wait to expect one day we return for the longer stay. The free breakfast was served on an ancient stone table, hotel also served a wonderful dinner, it was delicious! Entire place was like a giant storyteller, the ancients buildings and its exhibitions brought you back a thousand years. A beautiful garden and courtyard with partially existing cloister ….. the hotel location also very close to the Portuguese only national park, Peneda-Gerês National Park, not far from Braga. Ideal location between Portugal and Spain! "
