" The room was way smaller than expected. We paid an extra NT2,000 for a sea view room, but the windows were very dirty, which was very disappointing. When taking photos, the dirt on the glass showed up in every picture, which really affected the experience. The toilet also had a noticeable urine smell when we first opened the door. Overall, the room did not feel worth the price because of the small space, dirty windows, and the bathroom cleanliness. However, the paid breakfast was excellent. There was a wide variety of food and most of it tasted great. The free 2-hour bike rental is also a nice bonus for tourists who want to explore the nearby neighborhood and beach. The staff were friendly and helpful."

"The property is newer than its peers and sits just minutes (driving) from the entrance of the breathtaking, unique and spectacular Taroko National Park. All the rooms look out to the gorgeous view of the ocean/sunrise or sunset/and the famous Qingshui Cliff, which is a delight to wake up to. The service at Liiko is nothing short of 5-star. The genuine warmth of the lobby managers, front dest and kitchen staff. Breakfast offers seasonal AND local produce, with Liiko's "homemade" items. All taste fresh, high quality and delicious. This review would be a remiss if I did not mention the gorgeous private, large and impeccably manicured garden, where 2 ducks call their permanent home. There are also 3 well behaved kitties on site and cared for by the hotel staff, whom you may see lounging around living their best lives. I will definitely come back, as this is my choice of stay when in Hualien/Taroko. "
