"A bright, well furnished, clean and open unit. The kitchen was very well equipped. The children loved the pool and hot tub. Only a few minutes drive to either Rathtrevor Beach or Parksville Community Park and Beach (perfect for the kids). The only thing that would have made it even better would have been if it had been more walkable to beaches, shops etc. "

"The location and area are wonderful. The property COULD be a gem, but it is in terrible disrepair. The house inside, while perhaps not outfitted for people who cook a lot, is decent. But when we checked in, the exterior was a shambles. Grass half cut and lawnmower left on the sidewalk, gardens not weeded or cared for, pool cold and dirty, hot tub not working, and not clean, no propane tank for the bbq, the dock in disrepair to the point of being dangerous. "Perfect for a family vacation. Being on the lake was wonderful and complimentary kayak and life jacket rental. The breakfast is simple and good to start the day (muffins,crossiants, boiled eggs, waffle machine and mixed fruits). The beds are very soft. Coffee machine in the room. Can request for level 1, the balcony walks out to the garden and lake. Parking is very convenient ($10 if you book through 3rd party). "

"This place has all you need, on top of being beautiful! On the contrary to other reviews, I think they communicate their facilities very clearly online. Service was also great from the front desk, to the restaurant, to the activity rentals. Pacific Shores has an absolutely beautiful sunset location too. The rooms are more on the dated side maybe but the theyre comfortable and efficient (we were in the suite so we loved the kitchen and washer/dryer!!). Our whale watching tour was also canceled due to winds so we were so thankful for the kayak rentals they do for free. We saw a couple of seals breaching out of the water and the view around the bay overall was so nice. Would love to visit again."
