"We had the most magical time. The Ocatillo is a gem of a property. The house is wonderful, the grounds and surroundings are a beautiful way to get up close and personal with the desert. We thoroughly enjoyed the star gazing at night. Despite the hot day temps (July visit) the mornings and evenings were so perfect outside. We had good access to the Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree National park areas. We had several ant visitors but had amazing communication with our host and they did not dampen our stay at all."
