“On the first night of my stay, the showerhead broke halfway through my shower, and the water temperature was hard to control. I ended up finishing the shower in a very awkward and uncomfortable way. Later, when I was about to go to sleep, I found that the air conditioner remote had no batteries, so I had to go the whole night without any air conditioning. When I told the hostess, she assumed I was the one who broke it. Upon checkout, she asked me for €20 for the city tax, even though I had……

“Our stay at Stayeva 11 was wonderful. Our host Dube welcomed us like family and made us feel right at home. The apartment was beautifully renovated, clean and filled with everything we needed, including robes and slippers. Breakfast at the restaurant a few steps away was very good with great service. We would definitely stay here again and we will be recommending it to our friends.”

“Communication was outstanding. Assisting with setting up the airport transfer including luggage assistance from the City Gate to the hotel was exceptional. All aspects of our stay were excellent. It is important to note that there is no space to have open suitcases so you need to plan for that. Need to place on bed while accessing what you need. That would have been a more significant issue for us if we were staying 3 or more nights - but not for 1 or 2.”

“A beautifully renovated building in the centre of the old city. Amazing location. Staff very helpful. Our room was small and couldn’t open the shutters so no natural light. A little claustrophobic! Dinner at the restaurant was good but a somewhat limited menu. Breakfast was sorely lacking. No buffet, just asked what we wanted though limited choice. All in all grossly overpriced for what it was but suspect that is a result of its location more than anything else. Don’t arrive with large suitcases……
