Best place to stay. Steps from the beach. All staff great. Good restaurant on premise. Kitchens we use for buying fresh fish right at the pier. Good Mercado in town, or go to Soriana supermarket. Good beaches, local cabs are less than $5.

Very nice property on Beautiful Madera Beach. Great location for walking the boardwalk into downtown Zihuatanejo and surrounded with numerous places to dine. Property was very clean and well maintained. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing to note for people with mobility issues is all the stairs from street level to beach level to all the suites.

We had a great stay, room was comfortable. Great location, walkable to the malecon / centro. awesome staff; very pleasant & helpful, especially Ricardo. Restaurant was convenient, though lacked in service for our experience. There's lots of stairs, so the constant up n' down can take a toll. Overall, we do recommend this hotel and would return.

Great Location

Great location on La Madera Beach and easy access to the centre. The pool was wonderful overlooking the beach. Many restaurants in the area. Units had a full kitchen. Internet was excellent. It was a wonderful place but does have many steps.

Miserable for price.

Website photos were deceiving. Exterior door was sliding door made of glass. Only exit/ entrance hallway was right near windows and doors. You could hear any one talkng as they passed by. Pool very small.only access was steep, long stairs.

I like that it was on the beach with a fabulous restaurant which did a pop up dinner and music on the beach every night. The happy hour was limited but we could use the beach loungers because we were registered at the hotel. The hotel was old and a little grungy where several things were broken. I refused to stay in the room at the bottom of the stairs as it was opposite the restaurant bathrooms so tjere was odour and you couldn't open the curtains anywhere. There were only 2 rooms in the hotel that I would stay in again. They were near the top of the stairs.

We had a great stay at Arena Suites (Oct '23). We had the "Family Master" suite which had 2 bedrooms, a living room, a well-equipped kitchen / dining area and a beautiful porch overlooking the beach and the bay. The room was cleaned very well every morning by Elizabeth (fresh linens/towels and dishes were washed). The restaurant was super convenient and the food never disappointed. Our server was always Armando - super friendly and great English skills. The hotel sits on a hill, so there are quite a few steps to get from the street entrance down to the beach, and elevators are not available. Wasn't an issue for us, but could well be for others. There's a convenience store across the street that is open from 9a - 6p or so that had any last-minute snacks, medicine, groceries you might need, but the prices reflect the convenience (sunscreen was about 3x what you'd pay at a nearby pharmacy). The hotel sits on a very nice sandy beach (very few rocks) with good waves for body surfing, and only a hundred yards or so down the beach is the paved walkway that leads to the downtown area. You can walk from the hotel to the downtown restaurants in 10 minutes or so. Overall, it was a great experience and we'd highly recommend this hotel!
