We were very impressed by the warm welcome by the hotel staff who were helpful in all aspects. The location of the hotel was good and convenient. The room was spacious and comfortable. Nice bathroom and shower. The hotel was also a green-supporter and reimbursement of 5 Euro/day (for the use in hotel restaurant) was offered if daily room service was waived. Nice food and waiters in the hotel restaurant.

Hotel Sacher Salzburg is a 5 stars hotel located in the city of Mozart's birth place and where it filmed the movie The Sound of Music. They just celebrated their 150 years anniversary last year. All rooms are newly renovated in a classic but modern way. It's in the best location of Salzburg. Walking distance to any tourist sites.
Their service is extraordinary. Especially the staff in the restaurant. Even the trainees there are very friendly. They also provide very good breakfast.
The only thing the hotel needs to improve is the quality of the bed linen and pillows. As a 5 star hotel, they shall use a higher thread linen. Even they provide pillow menu, the quality of the pillows are not up to a 5 star standard.
Tip:
1) It's a Leading Hotel of the World group hotel. You can get free breakfast if you are a member of the group. Enrolled online before checking in the hotel.
2) It's an Expedia +VIP hotel. +Gold members of Expedia are entitled to Free Upgrade.
