Sydney Waterfront Beach Holidays

Great location. Lovely building and the cafe on the ground floor was fab. The room was clean and had everything we needed with a very comfy bed. Would highly recommend.

Every part of our stay at the York was excellent. From the moment we arrived at reception how helpful the staff were to the huge room (it is not 5 star snazzy but has absolute everything you could want at an unbeatable price tag) to the lovely inviting resort-style facilities (gym, big outdoor heated pool, large hot spa & sauna). The location is fantastic, right next to Wynyard station, a quick walk down to Barangaroo for brekkie (although the hotel also offers buffet breakfast at $38 pp). We also had a beautiful view from our 19th floor balcony.

A wonderful 'find'! Tucked away in a cobbled lane is this beautiful old, classy hotel! Wonderful ambience, lovely rooms with such a comfortable bed and lovely bathroom (including in ours, an old fashioned deep bath!), and great service. Add to that the generous and lovely breakfast delivered to your room, and the Establishment Hotel bar downstairs - large, buzzy, yet no noise from it up to the room, access on to lower George St with the light rail right outside the door, and you have the perfect place to stay. We will stay again!

It was our last night in Sydney before returning to the UK, and we chose this hotel for the views—and they certainly didn't disappoint. The apartment was spacious, modern, and centrally located, making it the perfect base to enjoy the city. Everything was spot on from start to finish. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Reception staff were good, very helpful, and good breakfast, but the hotel needs some TLC, long waiting for lifts with one lift out of action for the duration of our stay, 2 stage to get to rooms, 1 lift from street entrance to reception the second lift to bedrooms. This is not a 5 star hotel, 4 at best, it’s redeeming features were its staff, great reception and restaurant staff. Guest rooms ok, bathroom in a below par standard. We will probably try another hotel when we return in September
