Mont Shefford Cheap Holidays

Overall a great stay. Good location easily walkable to a number of areas. The only issue we had was cold water two mornings for the shower. The water never got warm. Addressed it to front desk staff bit remained unresolved.

The check-in person was not at all friendly and we had to ask him to repeat himself a few times as he was unclear. The staff person the next morning had no recommendations for breakfast - a common question I would think! The baseboards in the rooms were very dusty especially around the beds. There was garbage both on the pool level and the terrace where there was also poop (dog I hope!) that was also smeared on the carpet just inside the door! Other than that the property was great, well-located and the value for dollar was very good.

The apartment is nice. It’s an old building and has character. It could really use some TLC the sliding doors in the washroom that cover the water tank and washer and dryer were broken. Whoever painted the apartment could’ve taken more care and trying not to drip paint all over the floor. There is a sitting bench in the apartment and it was all sticky with spelt drinks, so obviously it hadn’t been cleaned.What really bothered me was the smell of cigarette, for an absolutely non-smoking apartment it was very evident that there had been smoking tenants. I wouldn’t call it a hotel. No one ever came to clean the rooms or the washroom. They never gave us new towels. We were there for four days and we had to keep reusing the towels. There is no one around at the front desk or any Cleaning staff. I have messaged the property directly a few times and no one gets back to you. So expect it to be renting an apartment and doing your own cleaning. The location is awesome, and the apartment has everything you need in it. we really enjoyed being in the heart of old Montreal and have that much space rather than a small hotel room

Beautiful hotel. Had a room right above the entry door where people went to smoke and talk very loudly which made sleeping very difficult both nights. Yes, I did bring it up to front desk.

Stellar Service from the moment we stepped up to the front door! Every staff member was friendly, knowledgeable and proactive in being sure all our needs were met. The atmosphere is one of classy elegance and our only regret is that we could only stay one night. Will DEFINITELY return!
