Clean rooms and close to the main gates of universal studios

Large hotel room. Clean. Lots of room. Great shower. You can hear people walking around in the room above. The floor was paper thin and you could hear every step. Had to re-wash clothing after using the washing machine. It left everything very musty smelling, could use a cleaning cycle. The location was 15-20 minutes walk to train station, shopping, tourist stuff.

Everything about this hotel was wonderful. We stayed in a classy king room. It was spacious with the best shower I’ve experienced in a hotel. The location is perfect. It’s near the main shopping area but also has Pontocho alley right in front of the hotel where you can experience the traditional Japanese restaurants in the older part of town. It’s easy to get around with buses and subways nearby. Kyōto station is about a 10 minute bus ride away or a taxi ride (approximately 2000 yen). The breakfast was lovely too and the staff were friendly and polite. They have a small gym with two treadmills, a cross trainer and two bikes but no weights. Mats are provided. It’s basic but clean and functional. Highly recommend. I would stay there again.

There were no perks for silver members. This is a must!! The room taxes were high & the additional room tax of 500¥ was insane bust standard. I had a kid screaming in the next door room until 1:30a. It was in a difficult location & the mall it is attached to was closed for 2 days for cleaning!!

The room was clean, comfortable and had an amazing rain shower in the bathroom!
