This is not a 4 star hotel. Hotels.com are wrong. This is a 2 star hotel.
I have stayed in better 2 star hotels but the location is great, it is safe, clean and staff are helpful. What it really needs is investment as it is tired. Broken window blinds and shower tiles need fixing. Given the outside noise some proper double glazing or triple glazing would help given the various work outside through the night.
Also do not believe the concierge’s ideas on how long it takes to get to the airport (google shows the facts) or that the LIRR service is broken every Friday so you must use the hotel car. 🙄 💵💵

Awful checkin process. Guy sitting there on his phone refusing to help with their cumbersome web checkin process. terrible beds. shampoo and soap dispensers in the bathroom broken. 0 amenities, not even a bottle of water. whole place felt kind of dirty.
would absolutely not recommend for the price.

This was such a charming hotel and centrally located for what we had planned during our girls trip. The front desk staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The room was large, and the kitchenette was definitely a bonus. We felt safe and very well taken care of.

The room was clean and the staff were nice. However, the plumbing results in several minutes of loud noise sounding like a jackhammer each time someone on the floor flushes the toilet. This noise continued all night, anytime someone used their toilet. It's a real problem for sleeping. The hotel furnishings are somewhat outdated and definitely not luxurious, but again the room was clean and had a small kitchenette, which could be useful for some travelers, if noise doesn't bother you.
