Ko‘olauloa District Pet-friendly Holidays

Room was clean with balconies for some outdoor views. Is in the heart of waikiki so walking distant to many restaurants in the waikiki strip. A car is recommended if you want to explore areas outside of the waikiki beach area. Most tourist activities are within 15 to 20 minutes of the hotel. Valet service was required but worth it.

We love this hotel but they are under construction which limits the usual amenities in the lobby areas. Staff is top notch! Great location.

Overall the property is nice. The pool is small and most of it is deeper than 5 ft. So people gather in the small shallow area. There are three small hot tubs but one was closed during our entire stay. The walls of the hotel are very thin so you can hear people in other rooms and the doors slam. The staff is nice but don't go out of their way to be helpful. There is a very nice swing in the lobby to lounge on. The best part of our stay were the daily activities like Lei making, Easter cookie decorating etc that the hotel organized for the kids (and adults).

Island Colony was a great place to stay overall. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with cookware, toiletries, towels, and even beach chairs and a backpack cooler. I loved the patio view and enjoyed relaxing out there. The pool, hot tub and sauna were clean and relaxing, and security felt solid. The only downside was parking -- the kiosk instructions are confusing, and you have to use separate elevators for the garage and rooms. Definitely ask staff for help the first time. I'd stay again, I truly enjoyed the room and its amenities. Very convenient location. Parking isn't the owners fault -- just something to be aware of. Parking is definitely cheaper if you go for the 5 days. $235/5 days vs $47/nightly. 4/5 Wonderful Room

Don’t just read Expedia descriptions of hotel. Some amenities were up charge to use, such as cabanas and some lunch chairs.

Breakfast buffet very overpriced

Room super clean, we got an ocean view which was amazing. All of the restaurant is way over priced.
